My wife and I had the pleasure of being invited to the Austrian Cultural Centre for their annual celebration of Austrian culture. Given that Austria may be the most cultured country in the world, the costumes, food, choir singing, and dancing was just wonderful. The centre has a very warm and friendly vibe, with lots of trophies and artifacts describing a long history of activities of the members of the Austrian Cultural Association. Located in a unique location overlooking the Deerfoot, downtown, and the mountains. Main area was very loud and was hard to carry on a conversation. Upon leaving we did notice an adjoining room that looked more peaceful. The food was tasty but somewhat casually presented with not a lot of detail. Unfortunately the Spätzle was fairly bland. Great choice of beers and a traditional feeling Bierpalast. Good service.
