Very nice elderly couple who espouses the merit of tempeh for nutrition and health. Turns out they make tempeh in batches and supply restaurants in the city. They offer a half dozen Indonesian dishes for lunch and other cafe items. The tempeh special was good. I just wished they ratioed more tempeh. As a side business they organize tours for Indonesia and have some unique itineraries for vacation worth checking out.

It is hard to find an Indonesian food here in Calgary. This is one that is really good! Family owned restaurants and you get the vibe of Indonesia. I recommend for everyone who wants to try Indonesian food and Indonesian taste. Try it out ! Don’t forget to get “Teh Botol” too !!!

Great place, not many people know about it. I tried their beef curry and beef soup, both were good and the price was decent as well.
The spicy sauce was on the egg, I love spicy and was tempted to request more. The salad sauce was perfect compliment with sweet fresh flavors. ? I got the curry chicken combo.

We finally visited Bali Resto for breakfast on Friday morning. They only open for weekday for breakfast and lunch.We had beef rendang and chicken gulai. They both came with rice, boiled egg, and salad. There was spicy sauce on top of egg. Both tasted good, our favorite was chicken, it was whole leg and so juicy. I also tried Jamaican beef pastry and vegetarian samosa. Those were ok.They also have sandwiches, ramen, soup, etc. the menu is very big and all great lunch options. I believe it’s run by lovely owner lady by herself, she was very kind and sweet.The sets are all same price, it was not written on the menu but I think it was $15 something per item.

Had been meaning to try this place as I had been craving to eat authentic Halal Indonesian food. We ordered Soto Betawi, Soto Ayam, Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang and fried noodles. They were all delicious. I only took pictures of the Nasi Goreng and Soto Betawi as they came first then I forgot to take the rest as we were occupied with the food. Friendly, welcoming and accommodating owner and staff. Will definitely come back again! ????

This restaurant was delicious! I've never tried Indonesian food before and wanted to try something new. The staff was super friendly and their recommendations were very helpful! The presentation was very nice and if I wasn't in a rush, I would have loved to dine in fully enjoy the experience! I also appreciate that they made sure we had no allergies, since many of their meals included peanut sauce. All in all, I can't wait to go again!
