We ordered a huge take out order on a large family dinner night. Everyone ages from 1.5 to 61 years old enjoyed the variety of food. Gingerbeef and the squid were delicious. We especially enjoyed the wor wonton soup! Such amazing flavor and good variety of vegetables and protein. This was our first time trying as a large group and we will do it again. Thanks so much Bamboo Gardens!

I used to.live in Mayland Heights in the 80's and there was no better Chinese food than Bamboo Gardens!! Moved to Airdrie and it's now 2024...we had a Family gathering last night and my husband and I decided to take a trip down memory lane and see if Bamboo Gardens was as good as it used to be. **Side note** our favorite Chinese restaurant in Airdrie closed a couple of years ago and we havent found a place yet that could replace them....if Bamboo Gardens was all I remembered..I would drive in again and again for a large order!! Well the building and interior seem to remain the same since the 80's, so I'm sure they could use some renovating by now...but I wasn't there to judge that, we ordered take out. Very friendly ladies...gave us a 2025 Bamboo calendar too. We brought a bag similar to a skip dishes bag, to bring our food home. We ordered several different dishes, some were very delicious, the ginger chicken amazing, the veggies and bean sprouts great, also won ton soup was awesome! The dry ribs, chicken wings, chow mein and chicken balls were so so...the problem was the rice, it wasn't the greatest to begin with and the sad thing is my Grandson unfortunately found a staple in his rice, thankfully before he swallowed it. Overall it's pretty good,, and I'm sure the staple wasn't intentional, but I probably wouldn't drive from Airdrie again. Cheers!

We dined in for a quick dinner. We ordered chow mein, pork dumplings and honey garlic wings. We enjoyed the pork dumplings very much. They were plump, juicy and seasoned well. The honey garlic wings was our least favorite order. They were large but a bit dry and flavorless. It was covered in some oily sweet soy glaze with big slices of raw garlic. The auntie who served us was very nice and attentive though. The food came out quick and our bill wasn't that expensive.

My husband and I have been ordering from Bamboo Gardens for years. My husbands' father owned a Chinese restaurant in Nova Scotia in the 60's & 70s'. This restaurant has the same old fashioned atmosphere and the food has the same quality as his restaurant. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

New ownership has raised the bar. It was good before but now is usually great food! Better than most. You might not want to dine here and definitely never bring your date here. The ambiance is well into the minus numbers and will do nothing for your appetite and you will be the only ones dining there. There's been no renovations for over 50 years and definitely no handicapped access. Long stairway goes to the 2nd floor. Still the original carpet and stipple ceiling, and the last time I was in the bathroom was exactly that. It's dingy. Mostly all of Mayland and Vista Heights have ordered here forever for some of the best take-out Chinese food around. Not cheap though and I'm completely baffled about their "Lucky Coupons" you get when you order online. I've tried using them a few times and always receive the message that the coupon expired, conveniently one day before my order. It tells you to share the coupon with your friends and it also says something like "No 7 will get you the biggest coupon" - whatever that is supposed to mean. Those coupons do nothing so don't forward them to your friends and don't bother trying to use them since they will be expired.

Can't say anything about atmosphere as I have not actually been to the restaurant -- my friend picked the food up and said it looked ok. The food however, I can comment on. Good portions, good prices, fresh vegetables and fast service! Recommend the Thai crispy chicken and the thick noodles with curry sauce.

We were the only ones for most of our meal. A couple locals said Bamboo Gardens is a hidden gem. Don’t be fooled by the outside or the dated interior. The food and service were top notch. So good!
