Absolutely delicious! Got the seafood laksa this time but I’ll definitely be back to try the beef laksa one day.

Keep in mind that they only take cash or debit before going.

Not as good as the Singaporean restaurants in BC but still not bad. Location is a little inconvenient

Great spot! I was craving curry and pho so decided to have the seafood Laksa and was very impressed.
The broth was complex and delicious, the seafood was cooked well - only wish they had house made fish cakes.
They accidentally tossed my tofu that I put on the side when I was leaving and when I asked about it the kitchen made fresh extras for me ???

Banana Leaf is definitely a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant for those times when you just want something to eat without having to plan ahead too much. I wouldn't call this place a snack stop; it's more of a small restaurant with a devoted following. They seat about 36 people and there's always more people lining up for food.

The food itself is just really good comfort food! They serve Malaysian and Taiwanese dishes including curry, bubble tea, fried chicken, and much more.

Great place for a hefty snack, a date night, some place with soul-warming Asian food, and anything in between.

Other notes:
- attentive servers. No issues about that at all!
- Ample parking in front.
- entrance is a little hard to spot but it does have a really big sign above it's shop

SUCH GOOD FOOD. The roti canai is so buttery and flakey and the curry sauce they serve with it is ridiculously good. Deep fried tofu with garlic and onions, how can you go wrong? And the beef brisket curry was a huge hit! It's not often we get to eat here but when we finally do, it's so worth it!

We are from out of town but came to dine in the second time today. The Hainanese Chicken (so tender) and Laksa (so tasty) were awesome!! This is my favorite Malaysian cuisine restaurant.

Are you looking for authentic Malaysian food? You will find them here! The portion is very big and I have to "dabao"! Their customer service is top-notch and very friendly staffs! The restaurant is small and they had to ask people to come back in 15 mins when they are full. So be there earlier to avoid the waiting!

I have never visited this place at all.

Whenever I call them it's closed. But their Google page says it's open.

Someone is running it just for time pass and to ruin other time and enery

This is an unassuming place from the outside and could be easily missed if you’re not looking for it. But my dad was visiting from out of town and he was absolutely mind blown at how good the food was! I brought him here the day before he was to leave for home and he asked why we didn’t come to this place sooner!

The chicken curry with rice was delicious especially dipping the roti in the curry sauce. *chefs kiss*

Roti - light, airy and perfectly crispy but doughy at the same time!

My dad had the hainanese laksa noodle soup and he enjoyed every bite. He said it was taking him back to food he had in Singapore.

The level of spice in both dishes was great and you get a really good size portion. Definitely had enough for leftovers.

The only downside is now that he’s back home, he already has FOMO of not being able to eat here. We will be back!

You gotta try it yourself! You won’t be disappointed.
