I booked a dinner reservation for my wife’s birthday after our vacation. Unfortunately, we have been stuck in the airport due to a storm, so we have been trying to get back to Calgary for the past two days. I called bar Gigi to explain my situation in hopes that they would be able to reverse the late cancellation charge of $80 due to my unique situation that prevents me from honouring my reservation. Because of this, I won’t be visiting bar Gigi in the future

Chef’s kiss! Loved the prawn toast obviously. Don’t sleep on the mussels or the bread and dip. Incredible meal, impeccable intimate cozy vibes and great central location. Not to mention kid friendly. Will be back here many times to try more menu items.
Dani is the best. She approaches her tables with a real even keeled level of grounded-ness that really makes her feel like my friend.
The drinks are delicious, food is meticulously crafted, and the vibe is on point.

Okay the food here is amazing so I decided to come here a second time with my sister. Prawn toast is amazing, rigatoni was great. The chicken though was confusing… presentation of all the food we ordered was immaculate and tasted amazing. But the chicken… it looked like something I’d meal prep and the presentation was mid. It also tasted quite salty. Fries and dip were good but the chicken dish wasn’t giving. For this reason I give it 4 stars. I do appreciate the atmosphere but it gets pretty dark when the sun sets and my eyes dawg… my eyes

The service was 10/10 we didn’t even have to open the door. Then we were seated in an intimate setting with a super chill Romantic vibe. Food: 15/10 could not have been better hats off to the chef!

I celebrated my birthday dinner here with my mom. I will say, don’t be fooled by the small amount of tables or the quaint atmosphere - the food at Bar Gigi is to die for. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how much thought goes into the presentation, flavours and execution of dishes. For instance, carrots or cabbage seems “meh” on other menus in the city… but at Bar Gigi they really know how to make every flavour sing and dance in your mouth. This establishment does have a smaller menu but they are completely dialed in. Our server was fantastic (I’m sorry I forget her name as it’s been a couple of days). The spicy passion fruit margarita and our wine was also excellent and well balanced. Thank you for an amazing dining experience, we will be back!!!
Price was worth it for especially for the amount of effort that went into the dishes. Atmosphere is cozy and small. Food is full of exiting flavour. Service was exceptional and the food came out in the perfect order.

Everything was really good and top tier quality across the board. The only consistent feedback from the table that was not so much a hit was the cabbage, edges were too charred or burnt on the outside and slightly undercooked inside, Our server did give us a heads-up right before serving us. But overall everything else was a hit
