Came to this restaurant last Friday, August 8, as part of a one-day visit to the city to catch up with friends.
The hostess welcomed me and my guests in a friendly manner and as promptly as she found my reservation, she made sure we had our table ready.
Rivers, the server, was very knowledgeable of the well curated food and drinks menu so we opted for the seafood platter and paired it with our desire red and whites.
Before leaving, I decided to go to the bar and asked the bartender for a themed cocktail to be the cherry on top of my experience and he prepared a delectable Aperol cocktail from his acumen🍸
To my perception, Barbarella seems to be a business themed restaurant with an italian inspired menu with predominant seafood options and a selected cava of many kinds.
Overall, my experience is a 10/10. On my next visit to the city, I'll make sure to seeing you again to try some other cocktails. Until then, cheers 🥂

We had one of the best culinary experiences in Edmonton that we have ever had. We are huge foodies, we travel and eat at the best recommended restaurants. Tonight we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our bartender Mark went above and beyond, he chose our menu for the night and it was a hit.
We will be back.

Food was good. I went with a group of friends and while we were eating we saw a mouse run across the restaurant. When we told the waitress they said because it is patio season so these things happen. Which should be unacceptable because this is an Alberta Health Services violation. When we addressed the issue no one seemed to care or compensate. A very uncomfortable feeling and now returning will not be an option for us.

The restaurant was so lively, fun, and enjoyable. I had a really great experience. The food, drinks, and salad were super delicious and high quality. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Calgary — it’s a great spot that can turn into a special memory.
The atmosphere, service, prices are phenomenal here! This is my go to location when I want a nice drink or have a work meeting. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already!

Came here a few times with friends and loved it. But the visit from this past week wasn't great as I got sick from there and have not been feeling well all week. Wish they had a phone number I could call them at. Let's just say they lost a repeat customer.

Had dinner at Barbarella for the first time last night. The restaurant's atmosphere is fantastic, and we loved the vibe. We had the Ricotta, Prosciutto and Carpaccio for Appetizers and then 3 different pasta dishes for our mains. Would highly recommend. The only small issue we had was the amount of time it took to get our drinks, was probably over 10 minutes. Didn't take away from the night at all but something to watch. Will definitely be back.

Barbarella is definitely a lively and busy spot. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this isn’t the place. It feels more like a bustling pub where people gather after work for drinks. That said, the service was outstanding. Our server delivered 5 Star hospitality: attentive, friendly, and quick, which made the overall experience much better.
Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations, especially considering all the glowing reviews. • Pizzas (Pancetta & Calabrese Sausage): Both were far too salty. The toppings had good flavor, but the saltiness overpowered everything. Perhaps they pair better with drinks, but on their own, they were disappointing. • Calamari: The biggest letdown. The texture was rubbery and unpleasant, with little flavor. • Beef Carpaccio: Nicely presented but underwhelming in taste, lacking the balance I’ve experienced elsewhere. • Barbarella Burger & Fries: Average at best, nothing that stood out. • Beet Salad: Fresh but very basic, and the presentation felt rushed, almost thrown together. • Tomato Hazelnut Dip with Focaccia: The focaccia was almost soggy, and the dip was forgettable.
Another drawback is parking. It’s very limited, and the nearby paid options are shockingly expensive (around $6 for just 30 minutes!).
Overall, the service and atmosphere are the highlights, and it could be a fun spot if you’re mainly there for drinks and a lively vibe. However, for the food alone, especially at this price point, I left feeling underwhelmed.
