Food was amazing and service was outstanding. Felt very welcomed in and I'm so glad I had my birthday here! Very accommodating to big parties as well! 10/10
The prosciutto was delicious, perfect amount of cheese. The olives were alright. The Rigatoni dish was alright it was just a very generic dish, could've used a little more flavour but still good enough to eat. The noodles were perfectly al dente! My boyfriend's dish was quite delicious it was the one with shrimp, butter beans and chick peas! The Neapolitan dessert was so so so delicious! Our server was great! The experience was a little ruined for us unfortunately because we were sat right beside two drunk coworkers, who were screaming and talking about very inappropriate things all night, and kept knocking their drinks over. But other than that it was a great date night and we will definitely be returning!
The endive/citrus salad had far too much pesto on it, drowning out all other flavors. The hamburger was greasy and the pizza was just ok. The noise in the restaurant made it impossible to have a conversation with the entire table.
Barbarella is usually always a great experience, but this time my food was disgusting. I ordered the striploin steak medium rare. Medium rare means pink in the middle, but the plate can out with about a centimeter of red bloody juice in the bottom of the entire plate. I was instantly turned off and was shocked that they served it. A steak should never get served in a pool of anything, even if it's rare. The cut was super tendony and fatty also, and overall I was put off. Atmosphere was excellent as usual and our server Abdel was amazing! We also ordered the calamari, and roasted tomato dip, and the they were delicious!
Reserved a booth(or at least requested) and the hostess walked us up a steep flight of stairs as I complained about having to come back down the staircase after a wine or two. Once we reached the top and I saw nobody was upstairs except us, I wasn't happy, nonetheless, the hostess sat us at a two top and said she'd inquire about a table downstairs. I decided not to wait for her return and told my husband we'd sit at the bar. But once we reached hostess stand, another hostess said no need to sit at bar and led us to a table near the kitchen. It wasn't a bad table and a half booth but I almost felt like because we were probably the oldest people there, we were being hidden 😬and our appearance isn't bad 😆anywho I degrees, the food was delicious. We had two salads, one warm, roasted cauliflower, salmon crudo and pasta that's made in house and OMG amazing. For dessert, passion fruit sorbet. I'm dairy free or would have liked to taste other desserts! The decor looked a bit dated to me but loved the fireplaces. Our server was excellent. Thanks to Efka for an awesome experience!
Always a five star happy hour. The drinks and pizza's are all 50% off, can't be beat. Wilson provided attentive, friendly, and personalized service. He was 11/10 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Food a 2nd thought to ambiance. Service well we don't care, these are the rules. Will sest you at the table you didn't want and then take you another to lousy table. Over hyped and under delivered. Yes should of went with my instinct and booked elsewhere.
Can't wait to go again, had the trout and house made gnocchi, was fantastic! So may I other dishes I need to try!
This is a cool, hopping place. Good vibe. But I found the food and service disappointing compared to Major Tom. I will give it another chance.
Excellent service, food, atmosphere. Fortunate to have enjoyed that with happy hour prices.

One of my favorite spots in Calgary. Always have great service. Would be nice to see more happy hour options for food though.
We visited Barbarella to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a wonderful evening. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the food was excellent. The burrata bread made for a perfect start, and the spaghetti limone was a favorite at our table. The roasted shrimp was also an outstanding main course. The only slight disappointment was that, unlike many other restaurants, nothing special was done to mark the birthday celebration. Still, our server was fantastic, and overall, we had a great experience. We'll definitely be back!
First time at barbarellas ambience was amazing and so was the food. Service was ok our server wasn't very attentive not sure if that was due to do it being a little busy but seemed like there was a lot of extra staff and support. Would come back

Came to this restaurant last Friday, August 8, as part of a one-day visit to the city to catch up with friends.
The hostess welcomed me and my guests in a friendly manner and as promptly as she found my reservation, she made sure we had our table ready.
Rivers, the server, was very knowledgeable of the well curated food and drinks menu so we opted for the seafood platter and paired it with our desire red and whites.
Before leaving, I decided to go to the bar and asked the bartender for a themed cocktail to be the cherry on top of my experience and he prepared a delectable Aperol cocktail from his acumen🍸
To my perception, Barbarella seems to be a business themed restaurant with an italian inspired menu with predominant seafood options and a selected cava of many kinds.
Overall, my experience is a 10/10. On my next visit to the city, I'll make sure to seeing you again to try some other cocktails. Until then, cheers 🥂
