I would have given this place a 5 but their tip option on the credit card machine starts at 18%. This is presumptuous and inconvenient for customers. Give 15, 18, 20 options like other restaurants at your price point. This isn't Ceasars or Hy's.
Met a friend there for lunch last week. Server was great and food delicious. Only negative is the eggs Benedict are served on croissants instead of English muffins. 🤷‍♂️. But server offered option of just putting on the hash browns and that was great.
My Saturday afternoon began with a craving for something to replace a Denny’s Super Bird, and I ended up at the Belmont Diner—perhaps the perfect showcase of Canadian mediocrity. I ordered the chicken club (no tomatoes), which came with some utterly bland cubed potatoes on the side. The sandwich itself might have had chicken, maybe cheese, maybe bacon, but all I could really taste was the lettuce.
