Big Fish & Open Range - Marda Loop

One of my partners and my favourite place to visit. Has good vibes, really great food. I love the butter chicken and prawn dish. The seafood chowder is also so good on a chilly night. Has a small underground parkade which helps with parking as long as it’s not full, but we have never had a problem.

As a vegan I love this place! The atmosphere is amazing, the vegan option is delicious and the service was so kind and professional. The drinks were great too. We went there with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed it.

First time at Big Fish and Open Range. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The service was good. I ordered the crab club. I felt like the sandwich was lacking on the crab, and very heavy on the bread. Next time I’ll order something else.

Probably the best restaurant ive ever been too. The food is sublime and the service was unbeatable. David was great! Very pricey but well worth it.

The food was pretty good. My issue was as soon as our food came it was like they didn’t care that we were there. We had a party of 7. There were a few other tables but not super busy. Once the food was done empty plates and glasses sat in front of us for way too long. We probably would have had at least 2 more drinks each had they come around. The server was really nice just didn’t come round much. The last thing was we had auto gratuity add on a party of 7. The standard is tables of 8 and above. Did not tell us until the bill came. Then we got taxed on the auto gratuity.

I went to the lower level dining room, it was very pleasant. The food was amazing and the drink selection was great. I'll be going back again for sure, I might try the upper floor lounge area next time.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Big Fish & Open Range. From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated and welcoming. What made the evening even more memorable was our waiter, David. His service was warm, attentive and professional! He struck the perfect balance between being knowledgeable and personable offering great recommendations, and making us feel taken care of without ever being intrusive. The food was truly exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. You can tell there is real care and skill behind the menu with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful execution throughout the meal. We left impressed, satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend!

We have had our company Christmas Party here 2 years in a row. The food is consistent, cooked well, seasoned well, presented well. I have to be gluten free and they are always very accommodating. The atmosphere of the private up stairs room was really nice and it is away from other restaurant noise.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience having brunch at Big Fish and Open Range. It's a beautiful restaurant with underground parking (and winter is here people!) The service was impeccable. The server came before we were ready and we advised him we would leave our menus at the edge of the table when we were ready. He came immediately once he noticed we had done so. My friend ordered two poached eggs and bacon, which came with hash brown potatoes. The eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and my friend wasn't quite able to finish the dish. I ordered the avocado toast. It consisted of two large pieces of sourdough toast with a generous amount of perfect avocado on each. The only reason I didn't give the restaurant five stars is because I didn't agree with their version of avocado toast with cherry tomatoes and radish. I don't think they add anything to the dish. It also didn't automatically come with a poached egg. It was only a small additional price, but I would have preferred only one piece of toast with no tomato or radish and one poached egg. My dish also came with hash browns. I only ate one of the two avocado toasts. I finished my meal with a lovely vanilla latte. The bill arrived as asked and the car was warm and ready to go! You have to try this restaurant! Bring a group!
