Rude, especially short mustache guy. Wouldn’t go again.
I bought a Bombtrack Hook EXT from Bike and Brew and had it delivered to Vancouver. The bike was professionally assembled and expertly packed in the shipping box so there was no chance of damage. They replied to my emails and phone calls promptly and kept me informed during the whole buying process. If you're in the Calgary area go see them! As good an experience as I've had in any bike shop.
Great bike buying experience. I'm back living in the city and want to ride year long. My current gravel/touring bike with a drop bar isn't really for winter so I showed it to Ethan and asked what he would suggest for my second bike. He immediately went to the type of bike I had in mind. While we had not talked about price, his first pick was one perfectly matched to my application at a price point at about one half of the cost of my three season bike.
I was impressed, but even more so when I told him I would think about it and asked him if he had a business card. He replied that he would give me his card but that I could deal with any of the Bike and Brew salespeople as none of them are on commission. I told him I would buy him a beer if I bought a bike from him. I cycled home and then did my research. The bike was perfect for my application and priced fairly. I called him back, telling him I was walking back to the store and wanted to buy the bike if I liked how it rode. I asked him to have it ready with pedals for me. It was. The bike rode as expected and I bought Ethan his beer!
Too many businesses always attempt to upsell when given the opportunity. I was fair game given that I walked in with an expensive bike with a lot of pricey accessories. Everything about Bike and Brew demonstrated to me that put my - the bike rider - interests above all other considerations. Again, it was a great bike buying experience!
First time in the store .. staff are great but owner was super rude and talked to me very disrespectfully. Will not go back and have bought 2 bikes elsewhere since.
Great service. Accommodated shipping timeframe needs and worked with me on it. Great experience and super happy with the care they took packaging up the bike for shipping. Hope to enjoy a coffee there one day too!
Called in looking for a bolt set to re attach my fender. The worker helped me free of charge with a new m6 bolt and washer.
Really appreciate the service and friendliness of these guys!
I really like this bike shop / cafe. They have a large selection of bikes including e bikes, lots of mountain and trail bikes with thick tires, commuters, etc. They can order anything they don't have in stock for you.
I had no idea what I wanted so it was nice when an employee came over to greet me right away. I found one I liked from one of their big walls of bikes and tried two sizes of it before settling on a large. I picked out a bottle holder and a bell and they put a kickstand and peddles on there for me. Everything was set up for me by a bike mechanic while I sat and drank a large mocha. I think it took 45 minutes to an hour including taking two different bikes for a spin before I had my new toy in hand and was out the door with it.
I have since been back several times for coffee and beer after work, to have the brakes cleaned, to have the brakes replaced with nicer hydraulic ones, and now to put a deposit down on a fat bike for the winter.
They are not pretentious at all like you hear some bike shops are. I can see that a great deal of care has been put into how they communicate with customers buying bikes or bringing them in to be fixed. They really do not prioritize upselling, rather they give you the best information they have and you can make your own decision; I was talked out of buying 300-dollar-each studded tires for the new fat bike, at least until I've tried the stock tires and seen if I really need them or not.
The service from walking in the door is awesome and they make buying a nice bike a breeze for a novice or non cyclist. Being able to take advantage of their insight while trusting in their integrity is invaluable and gives me so much confidence that I am buying the right thing and am not going to horribly injure myself climbing or descending a hill somewhere (Renfrew dog park anyone?) when the bicycle spontaneously disassembles?. They offer a free tune up within a year of buying the bike and you can bring it in if anything is wrong and they'll help you out.
Mario helped me with a quick little tune and didn't charge me a cent. Plus we had a beer while we waited. Absolutely love theses guys, 10/10 would recommend!
Been coming here for the vibes and good coffee for a while. Recently got an amazing Cosmic Stalion and the setup time and process with the mechanics and sales was amazing. Thanks brew crew!
These guys are the absolute best. Best service in bikes and bevvies.
Great experience in helping me find a new bike tailored to my needs based on my height (I’m a shortie and wanted to feel more comfortable on my ride not having floating legs and feeling unstable on my bike) and ride style. Most of them are avid riders and very knowledgeable, the store could feel intimidating if you’re not a hardcore cyclist but you instantly feel welcomed and right at home. They assure you if you have any issues with your bike or questions at all to come by any time. So nice to have them close by in the neighborhood.
Also love stopping by with the pup for a coffee and so glad I made my new bike purchase here!

I love this shop & have visited for multiple reasons: the beers, the coffee, the apparel, and most recently, to get my bike repaired and serviced. All of the staff in every area of the store are kind, down to earth, and extremely helpful. Of most significance to me, as a mountain biker of the female variety, Bike and Brew treats me no different than they would the other varieties of mountain bikers, which is unfortunately not what I’ve experienced at other bike shops over the years. The staff are knowledgeable, don’t talk down to you, and explain their recommendations and the reasons for them. They have great appointment availability and the turnaround time for service is exceptional. They even managed to save me a significant amount of money during a recent repair. I can’t recommend this shop enough!
Insanely friendly staff and my goodness that’s some tasty coffee!!! I shall return!
The guy gave me water 5/5
Friendly, helpful and down to earth. Good for a coffee or a repair!
Reagan is the man! Went above and beyond in helping us shop for a new helmet and bike lock. Super knowledgeable, patient, with all of our questions. Cannot recommend enough!
