We love this place! And have started a new tradition with the kiddos - sliding hill out back for a couple hours before heading to the Bitter Sisters to warm up with drinks and snacks. Sam has been our server the last few visits and shes absolutely amazing! And rocks at her job! So attentive and well timed with her check ins - not to mention, a great sense of humor that keep us coming back! Thanks Sam, we will see you again soon!!
Always great service and one of my favourite hazy IPA'S in the city.
Great beers, awesome food, friendly service, and a fun space! We've been coming here once a week or so for a bit now; its a great spot!
We had our corporate Christmas lunch at Bitter Sisters, and it was incredible. The buffet-style meal was unreal, every dish was fresh, flavourful, and far above standard catered food. The service was also way above expectations. The team was attentive, organized, and made the whole event feel seamless and enjoyable. They were super warm and accommodating to us.
Highly recommend this spot for group events or anyone looking for amazing food and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place honestly deserves it. From the moment I walked in, it felt like the kind of spot you end up coming back to without even planning it. The vibe is warm, the staff actually pays attention, and the whole place has that mix of laid-back and professional that’s hard to pull off.The beer was the first thing that surprised me. You can tell they actually care about the craft, every beer I tried had its own character without being over the top. Smooth, balanced, and way better than what you get at most local breweries. You can taste the effort. And the food? Way above “brewery food”. Everything came out fresh, well-seasoned, and honestly way better than I expected. You can tell they don’t cut corners. It’s the kind of menu where you can’t go wrong with whatever you order. What really stood out to me, though, was how consistent everything was, good service, great food, and even better beer. It’s rare to find a place that hits all three at the same time. If you’re looking for a spot to relax with friends, have a good meal, or try some quality craft beer, this place is 100% worth it.
We arrived for a drink and a bite to eat on Sunday, November 23rd ~ 1:00pm. We were sat by a brunette server wearing a green hoodie (only indicate this as there is no name presented on the bills). She dropped a food menu at the table and walked away. She returned less than a minute later to take our drink order, which is fine, at which time I requested a GF menu. The menu was brought but was just thrown on the table as she walked by.
The establishment was not overly busy. Server returned again in less than a minute to take our food order and seemed irritated that we weren’t ready to order. She returned a second time as which point when we weren’t ready again, she asked us to place the menus upside down when we were finally ready (this all took place over a few minutes, and again I don’t mind this as it saves her time from coming back repeatedly to check).
We order our food, GF Hot wings and regular breaded Korean BBQ wings - they came out promptly and were really good and the beer is awesome + we appreciate the GF beer on the menu, which is why I am giving 2 stars), but what happened after was where all 3 of us at the table were completely put off.
As we finished our wings and still had 1/2 a beer left, the server passed by the table, collected our dishes, said to us “Just the bill then?” And walked away without waiting for a response. She returned a couple minutes later with our unrequested bill, which was all together and when I indicated that we didn’t actually ask for our bill and that we would need it separated, she snatched up the bill and walked away. Where this gets really bad is that one of my table mates was returning from the washroom and he saw her visibly roll her eyes from the interaction.
When we finally did request the bills, they were dug out from her pocket - ready to go and thrown on the table. This honestly made us feel like she really just wanted us to leave. We were polite the entire time through all of this.
We’ve been coming at least once a week for the last couple months as we work-out in a gym in the area. This was the first time that we had this server - but we will not stay if she is working again when we come in.
2nd experience, not so great Really great.
Watching a kid rolling cutlery at the end of the bar, sneezing in his hands. No hand washing.
Dropping things on the ground. Using his phone
Revolting
first experience.
Service was quick, and to the point. Our server had a lot of people in her section, and she did great.
The beers I sampled, a wheat ale, IPA, and pale ale, were all delicious and appropriately priced.
My sandwich was excellent, easily a 9/10. I had the Korean schitzle sandwich.
I would most definitely recommend this place
The food was excellent and the beer was tasty!! I feel terrible leaving a three star review here but the waitress working November 11th was absolutely horrible. We had a table of four, had never been here before and weren’t sure which beers to try. My friend and I ordered flights to which I asked her to recommendation on her favourite beers or the top sellers she responded “I don’t know, I don’t like beer and I don’t know what you like” lots of attitude to the point that my friend and I were taken back. The girls at the table agreed, and they are both ex waitresses. I would be ok letting that slide but in the process of deciding what we want for food, all of us still looking at the menus, she would come by three times asking if we were ready to order or not and each time more exasperated than the last. We finally decided what we wanted individually but were wondering what gluten free options the bar had for appetizers so we could share with the table. After landing on the wings and fried pepperoni, we decided to swap the wings with the tuna tartar without reading it’s made with wontons instead of tortilla chips. The waitress didn’t bother to say that there was gluten in the tuna tartar. I brought it up when she brought the plates out noticing the wontons. She replied “well the pepperoni is still good, I don’t know what you want me to do” then she went over to her bartender and the whole table could recognize she was complaining about us to the bartender. Anyways, very sad experience as we were recommended to this place by many people but if I won’t be staying next time if she’s working. I honestly think she was the worst waitress I’ve ever had serve us and clearly just hated her job. We were polite to her and all she showed was attitude
After years it is still our go to - consistent and delicious - but I’d love a bit of a menu and beer revamp.
Excellent food and service!

Good atmosphere, cheeky-friendly service and solid menu
SUPER yummy food and great beer selections in my local area - has quickly become one of my favorite places to go.
They also have a lovely dog friendly patio, AND wheelchair access/non-gendered bathrooms. What a wonderful and inclusive place to visit.
Love the fondue and ciders! Service is always great! Love this place, a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
Poutine and beer were great. Lighting is...unwelcoming.
Server was good, and uninvasive.
Came from out of province and heard very good things about this place. Food was amazing, the beer flight was awesome. However, service could've been better. For the entire time we were there we only got one cocktail, and one beer flight, we were never offered the chance to get another drink. The waitress maybe came over once and quickly rushed away. She finally came around and we asked for waters, took another 5-10 minutes to get those. By this time, we were annoyed so we just got our bill and left.
