A friend raved about this authentic old style, nearly historic pub. He was right. love ambiance of the place. A room set up properly for darts, Big spacious place you can really wind up your arm in. Boards were up high so I suspect they are to a regulation standard. Two pool tables, I loved the low hanging authentic lights. Lots of VLT machines, my friend took in a pile of money the day before. Lots of seating from high tables, to the bar to bench seating for larger groups. An outdoor patio too. Two fireplaces, huge. The bar had this massive stained glass chandelier light about it. Staff and owner were very happy and helpful people, Made you feel really welcome They had several ways to raise donations for the Canadian Veterans, big hearts. The food was pretty good. I got this big burger - fried egg, slice of ham, cheese, lettuce, huge bun with pickles on top. The thing that surprised me was the option of mashed patatoes. which I had. My friend had the fish tacos, more than he could eat. Lots of atmosphere, now we went mid day mid week, so it was a bit quite, I would imagine though at night there would be good pup crowd. I recommend trying it out. Besides the food, it is a really cool authentic place.

Fun! Try paintnight on Fridays. The guy is really good and our results were pretty good even though we are normally not good at painting

THIS PLACE NEEDS A NEW COOK! We went on a Wednesday night for wing night. We had been here before but it had been a while so didn't really remember if they were good. We only saw one waitress serving the whole restaurant so it took a while to get menus and order. We got 2 kinds of wings and when they came they were the smallest wings I had ever seen and looked really greasy with hardly any sauce. Some of the wings had hardly any meat on them and my fiance commented maybe they came from starving chickens. When we started to eat them they tasted greasy and horrible like they were a week old or that the oil they were cooked in was old, bordering on the wings tasting like they were going bad. The sauce was barely there and had no flavor. We had to send them back and were debating if we should order something else instead. We were hungry so decided to order 2 entrees and hoped they turned out better. We had to wait quite a while to get the other food and thought about leaving but eventually got the fish and chips and turkey sandwich we ordered. Sure enough the fish looked overcooked and greasy and when we cut into it it was rock hard and the coleslaw had no flavor. The turkey on the sandwich was like rubber, the dressing was tough and and the mashed potatoes tasted like a mix instead of real potatoes. The only thing edible were the fries. We told the waitress and she apologized and took the food back a second time and said she would talk to the cook. We went to pay for our drinks but she said not to worry and apologized again. Whoever owns this place if you read this, you need to hire a new cook, get better quality food and hire more wait staff. This is one of the worst experiences we've had with food at a restaurant. All I can say is the waitress was doing her best to juggle serving the whole place.

I brought my uncle for dental xrays next door, went in for lunch....i got the phone call to pick him up. I told both servers i would be right back and offered my visa...the fellow demanded i parked my car and payed my tab, it was - 17c , in the time it took dealing with the meathead my uncle walked over... i had food ordered for both of us but cancelled it due to the rude staff.

We were there during the height of the pandemic so it was pretty quiet. Good food and good service each time we ate there

best wings, and the best staff

Drinks pricing was good, service was good and friendly. Negative is that it's a bit run down, stools didn't feel very secure. Overall though it's a decent place for a few drinks and like most places these days it seems the governments rules are really hurting their business so people should try and support.

Have been here many times for the nachos as they were so good. Came today and I'm very disappointed. There was half the amount of nachos than before and barely any cheese and no toppings. I got maybe 6 pieces of tomato, 4 black olives and no green onions at all.

We went on a Wednesday night, and service was really slow. Hard to get the attention of the 2 waitresses for a beer or anything.I ordered wings and they were dry and but very good, and not very tasty - and really overpriced at $16. My drink finally came when I finished eating... Disappointing.

Good food; pizzas are a bit light on toppings but taste is ok.Seems to be an older crowd that goes here and I'm okay with that as they have several Tv's w/sports playing and I don't need to hear guys shouting at them when we're trying to have a chat/relaxing time.Service is decent and parking is easy; would like to be outside in the summer but its a worthwhile destination year-round

Look closer, cleanliness needs to improve. Glasses are cloudy, lip stains, from not being sanitized properly. The staff appears to know this, because they were holding the glasses up to dim lighting in the bar area to find the cleanest dirtiest glass.Washrooms run out of toilet paper, had urine around the base of the toilets.Staff were nice, and attentive.

I want to say kudos to the staff. There was only one waitress serving about 14 tables. Ordered food which took about 45 minutes to get, and the roast beef was like four days old and tasted like rubber. Would have sent it back but the waitress was way too busy. It’s a shame that this restaurant pub has gotten so downhill.

This is a great pub. Nice atmosphere, good beer on tap, affordable food that tastes great... plus our bartender was in a great mood and made sure we had a nice time.

Okay don't get me wrong. I love myself a good dive bar but this is a dive bar with prices you would expect at a fine dining restaurant. Ordered a burger $18.50 then to get 5 or 6 onion rings with it was an additional five dollars. With the prices we paid I would expect that you would not be sitting on an old worn out bench with paint splotches (from paint nights) everywhere, mismatched lighting (classic stained glass, steampunk vibe, ultra modern wall sconces that look like they should be on the outside of the building not inside) floors that are heaving up and extremely dirty, music that sounds like your alarm clock(super high treble to the point it almost echos, with not even a smidge of bass), broken or closed washrooms, holes in the walls with blankets half covering them. Plus only one person working the entire bar.The burger was more like a $16.50 burger and the onion rings were more like a $3 upcharge. This is also the type of place you should be able to get a real pint on special for about $6. If they want to charge the prices they do they should renovate the entire bar, serve food that isn't prepackaged from frozen, and hire more staff.Just go somewhere else. Seriously.
