Blackbird Public Urban Bar

Went out with a friend last Friday to celebrate a big sale and had an amazing time. This was my 5th time there and every time has been a great experience. I love the rich, dark elegance of this establishment and it is a great place for a date night. They patio is so well laid out.

This time we were served by Megan who had great advice about the menu - she suggested the Devil on Horseback dip which was incredible. Very unique taste but so delicious. Checked in on us and her smile made us feel very welcome. Will be back again for sure.

* Kids are not allowed * We decided to try Blackbird PUB on a Sunday afternoon, but were turned away because we had our 11-week-old baby with us. They have a “kids” takeout menu online and nothing stating that babies/kids can’t dine-in. We even double-checked the doors on our way out in case we missed a sign. It would be helpful if this policy were made clear online and at the entrance.

I had a friend from out of town & we had dinner at the Blackbird on Aug 11/25. It was literally inedible. The dry ribs were burnt balls of something, the chicken parm wasn't microwaved long enough as the cheese wasn't melted & my lobster rolls were plain disgusting. So disappointed & embarrassed as it was one of my favorite restaurants & we ended up eating nothing.

Restraint was full of mosquitos inside the establishment. Got bid badly a few times and killed ten mosquitos. I get that there was lots of rain but the place should be closed if patrons are getting swarmed inside. Saw a mouse running around the base of the bar stools by the bathrooms, pretty gross. Can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.

Great friendly staff, I feel bad for their working conditions. Food was pretty good.

Like the style of the pub, been here several times. Great for lounging and having a beer. Some of the happy hour tidbits are okay but nothing to rave about. We like the ambiance. Service depends on who is serving you. Sometimes attentive other times the drink runs dry and there is never any need for that especially when slow. Outfits could use some taming and am guessing is what keeps this pub going as sorry it's not the food. We've had a few meals but we now won't eat a meal there as too disappointing. Appetizers even those could use some help. Wish could give better but been too many times and has not improved.

Went here for the first time July 5th in the evening. The place was not busy at all. The service was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We had to ask more than 3 times just to get drinks. We each ordered an app and mains. It arrived all at the same time. Every time we asked for something she said she didn't know and had to go ask. The food was okay. Nachos was really good. Fish and chips was really greasy and the birthday cake desert was so dry. I brought all these issues up to the server and all she said was okay. I came here based on the reviews, but so disappointed.

Been here a couple times, it’s basically a fancier but more expensive Dogwood. The beer prices are great and their specials are solid. The food is quite expensive but a varied selection.

The environment is excellent with a cool interior and solid patio. I’ll be visiting often but ya having some more affordable food options would be appreciated.

The service has been excellent and friendly. Definitely enjoy the experience here.
