I would say that the food is overpriced and mediocre at best, i’m not sure l would pay 36 dollars for a plate that looks store bought.

Always a great experience here. They haven't missed with a dish yet, I've tried almost everything on the menu. Perfect place for a date or to take clients for a business meal as it's not too loud. Service is fantastic.

Overall, it was just okay. The aracini was really good as an appetizer. We shared a pizza which was a little disappointing as the crust was soggy and hard to cut. We wished we had tried the pasta. The cheesecake was also disappointing as it was dry and lacked flavour. Service was okay to start, but then our waiter seemed to forget we were still there as he didn't check in with us and we had to ask someone else to find him to get our bill. Maybe it was just an off night, as other reviewers seem to have had a better experience.

Fettuccine pasta was not great. Chicken isn’t grilled which is unusual but mostly unhappy about the big piece of cartilage and the pasta being a little undercooked and a sauce that isn’t impressive. Told the server, just apologized so I wouldn’t go again.

What a beautiful place, so pretty! My friend and I had a wonderful lunch together. I have a problem with gluten, we shared the whipped ricotta (like silk with honey) and they made me a delicious gluten free bread, my friend got the real bread that looked amazing. Then I had a gluten free pasta with seafood, it was perfect. The service was unobtrusive and professional, helpful and gave options. We shared a beautiful Pinot noir and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent service and the food was awesome. I had a pizza “ Mind your matters. I like the honey touch. It made a difference in the taste My wife had a Chicken Parmesan Pasta. The pasta was al dente and the tomato sauce was very good. Not too salty nor acidic. Also my wife had a cocktail Hugo Fritz and she loved it I had a Merlot red wine. Its was our first time and We really enjoy the experience

I have been to Annabelle's Kitchen Downtown several times, usually before a play at Theatre Calgary. I love the ambiance, the brick walls, the greenery, the lighting. The food is amazing. The fresh pasta is wonderful, lots of flavour. They have an extensive beverage menu with lots of choice for wine, beer, cocktails and N/A. I will return!

We had reservations about returning as we had tried Annabelle's about 3 years ago in Marda Loop and had a bad experience there, pretentious and dismissive servers and food that was not anything special. We had just returned from a trip to Italy back then so were struck by the attitude in Annabelle's without even the food quality and taste to justify it. In Italy we had zero attitude and top quality and flavour- not comparable but you get my point. Last night we ventured into the downtown location to give it another try as we had been faithful customers of the previous Blink. We entered and they sat us right next to the door and near the hostess table even though there looked to be many open tables in the centre which remained open throughout our dinner there. I was freezing at the front so had to ask for the heat to be increased. It seemed to warm up, but the server never came up to check up on temperature, etc. The server came, without introducing himself and just asked what we wanted to drink. No rapport built. We ordered our drinks and meal. We got the appetizers, their version of margarita pizza, good crust but it had pesto instead of basil, with 3 small pieces of basil in the centre. I did not really like the pest which was replacing the traditional basil, took away from the dish. The arincini balls were made of pork rather than the traditional risotto and were okay, not something I would recommend. We had the whipped feta with honey, that was good, the focaccia that came with it was okay, nothing special. My 15 year old son who we were with can make better focaccia. We then waited waited an additional 40 minutes or so for our pastas- my son ordered the chicken fettuccine which was over salted and my husband and I had the rigatoni- good but had very little meat and as we looked at the meals wondered why we waited so long-as they weren't that busy. We will not be back. Food and service were not satisfactory.

Our sever Payton was excellent. Her charm at the table was great. Was at the table at the right time and never missed a beat! Albert and Payton were working the room and the teamwork between them was seamless! Oh yeah the food was good too!
