Just had lunch today with our granddaughters.
Fish and chips are always the best in Calgary but have to say the piece of fish is a lot smaller than it used to be.

I love bringing my wife here because it reminds me of the food back home, and has easily become my favorite restaurant. The donair meat and sauce are just like the east coast and the best in town. Highly recommend this place!!

Me and my friend went here tonight to enjoy some drinks and food and everything was amazing!!! We had the mussels and mini lobster rolls and they were delicious, and the lovely Maya was our server, she was very bubbly, attentive and very enjoyable that we definitely wanted to stay longer and have a few more drinks than we attended. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much Maya!!

Maya was absolutely amazing, so kind and attentive! Came in for a belated birthday celebration, she made us feel welcomed and well taken care of all night. Mussels and Lobster rolls were to die for!

well to begin the staff were amazing !
the lighting in the restaurant is very dark and makes reading the menus a little difficult ( there were several people at different tables using there flashlight from there phone to read the menue) but it was very clean
we ordered garlic bread , which was pretty good
there fries were on par !
there donairs, we'll that's a different story the meat was salty and tasted like it had bbq sauce on it
but there donair sauce was on par!

I’m an old lady who lives alone who was craving good fish and chips ! So went into restaurant today! So fast, so good , fantastic staff and service at Shawnessy!

Gluten Free Salwich (salmon sandwich- on a 6” sub bun) & fries was very tasty but cost $25.95.
I asked for a bit of tartar sauce & received a small amount & was charged $2 for it. I should have been told there was an extra cost. I would have thought the $26 sandwich included some tartar sauce.
I won’t go back.

What an amazing outdoor patio, such a great space. Always enjoy this wonderful restaurant! Pretty authentic, food is tasty, especially the chowder amd the fried pickle ceaser, and the service is always top notch.

It was a bummer. Smelled great but we were too much trouble for the server to take our order. Booze was good. Service nowadays is so important, and we had high hopes. Unfortunately it will have to come off our list of potential places to eat. Hope you have better luck.
