Yesterday I came to bobby's place with my mom for a late lunch and a beer. It's been a while since I've been here, but I remember it as a place with great food and great service. Yesterday's experience was really disappointing. The place had 2 other tables with people - not busy at all. It look a while for the server to come over and bring menus and take our drink order. We ordered 2 beers, and wanted to order the Bangers & Mash - it's my fav dish here and it was always delicious. I was told that it's been discontinued. The menu isn't updated, nor is the website. I ordered the sausage rolls and mash, and my mom got the upside down Sheppard's pie. My meal was Ok, but I wouldn't recommend. The mash lacked flavour, and wasn't very warm, and the sausage rolls were dry - not sure they are made in house. The Sheppard's pie was a huge disappointment. It was drowning in gravy, there was hardly any veg or meat. The dish was mostly potatoes, and for some reason there was cheese. $22 for a dish that was mostly mashed potatoes seems like a rip off. My mom didn't even eat 1/4 of it and sent it back to the kitchen because it was so bad. We were surprised to see that there was no discount on the bill, and no manager came out to speak to us. Our server went back and they ended up discounting her dish 50%. Fine. From other reviews it sounds like there has been an ownership change, and maybe this explains the decline in the food. If this is the case, I highly recommend they reevaluate the direction they are going in. It's branded as an Irish pub - and these dishes are staples to Irish pub culture. I'm not sure we will be back.

A Gem of a Waitress in a Cozy Pub
I've been a regular at this pub for 3 years and one of the main reasons I keep coming back is the incredible waitress who has been here for 2.5 years. Brianna has this unique ability to make every customer feel like they're at home. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care for patrons' comfort is unparalleled. If you're looking for a place where the service is as delightful as the ambiance, this is it - all thanks to her. Five stars aren't enough for the joy she brings to each visit!

This is the second time my wife ordered the beef dip and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the fish and chips and was quite satisfied with my meal. The portion was plenty and the fish did not have too much batter as is often the case in other places. Both meals came with fresh cut fries that were very good.
Food was amazing. We got to see Gregg Bolger play live. So great food and great entertainment! This was the first time we went and it was a packed house. The second time we went, was during a weekday. We just wanted to go out to eat. The food was great again.

I actually love Bobby’s but need to post a critical review in hopes that they make changes.
Reduce your menu options!!!! You guys keep adding so many items to your food menu and the quality has noticeably declined over the years.
Your wings are still stellar, and you are our #1 choice for those.
But other than that, it seems like you guys have gone down the path of quantity over quality. Please focus your menu.
