I got the chicken pesto which was really good. The guys working there were genuinely helpful. Ingredients were fresh. The bread was really really good.
The price is where you’d expect it to be. Not wildly expensive but more than a typical sandwich from a sandwich shop. Personally I’m happy to pay a few extra dollars for a great sandwich.

Tried Bonjour Sandwich Shop and put a proper tasting lineup together. Here’s the honest verdict:
I rolled in and ordered a strong cross-section of the menu: Le Classic, Parisian, Bonjour 2.0, and the Hot & Cheeky.
Let’s start with the undeniable positives. The meat and veggies were clearly fresh, and the bread was second to none — the kind of bread that makes you realize how many places get it wrong.
The Bonjour 2.0 absolutely stole the show. The combination of meats, vegetables, and pickles was dialed in and borderline addictive. My only gripe? The wrong bread choice for that build. Every bite pushed the contents sideways and out the back, robbing you of what should have been a perfect, balanced mouthful.
The Hot & Cheeky was a well-balanced sando, with the spicy meat playing nicely against the buffalo mozzarella. Nothing fought for attention — it just worked.
The Parisian and Le Classic were, as advertised, simple sandwiches made with excellent ingredients. No gimmicks, just quality doing the talking.
Now, I normally have a deep disdain for butter on sandwiches… but somehow this place has converted me. Whatever witchcraft they’re practicing with that cultured butter has turned me into a newly born believer in a practice I’ve long judged harshly.
With the highs, though, come a couple lows. When you weigh portion versus price, things feel a little out of sync. I understand artisanal sandwiches come at a premium, but the size should match the spend. Also, if I’m ordering multiple sandos, I’d love to know which is which without unwrapping them like it’s a surprise party. Call it high maintenance — I call it common sense.
All that said, if you love sandwiches as much as I do and want flavours that genuinely pop, this place is still worth a visit. There’s a very good chance you’ll find something that knocks your taste buds sideways (hopefully not out the back of the bread).

Living in Paris half the year has made us particular about simple things done properly, especially something as simple as a classic jambon beurre. In Calgary, we had given up on finding anything comparable. But a neighbor suggested Bonjour in Marda Loop.
I almost never write reviews, but this place deserves one.
This is the real thing. The bread has the right texture and crackle, the butter tastes like butter should, and the ham is beautifully balanced. It’s simple, but meticulously prepared, exactly as it should be.
I have no idea where they are sourcing their ingredients or how they have managed to find such attentive, detail-oriented staff, but they have. Bonjour isn’t trying to reinvent anything, it’s just doing it properly.

Every time I come here for a delivery, I end up waiting at least 10 minutes to pick up the order. This is no longer an exception — it has become a routine. The staff attitude is also very careless and disrespectful, as if couriers don’t matter. Orders are marked as ready when they clearly aren’t, wasting our time and delaying customers. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

The food was great and I will definitely order from here again, but the space is super inaccessible. The sliding door, steep steps, and awkward hand rail make it hard to access the counter as someone who uses a cane. The narrow space inside makes it hard to comfortably wait for an order, and the small crowded tables make it hard to sit at all.
I understand these are things out of the owners control, I am mostly sharing this to help educate the next person who wants to go get a rich, flavorful sandwich from a delightful local shop while also being someone who uses a mobility aid. The good news is it didn't taste any less delicious from my car 🥰

First time here. Walk-in. Ordered the Parisian for simplicity, with extra ham. Absolutely dynamite. The baguette is the perfect size, you don’t have to crank your jaw open just to get a bite. Also had the chocolate beignet, fluffy and delicious. I’ll definitely be back to build my own sandwich next time.

All around delightful! We ordered the breakfast sandwich, just the regular one no additions for our 2 year old, we ordered the The breakfast Royal sandwich and a baguette style sandwich that the staff picked for us, all three sandwiches hit the spot. So fresh, the bread is crusty, like you'd imagine, and everything was absolutely delightful! Would go back 100%!
