Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant

A wonderful place to have a quiet lunch in a charming atmosphere both inside and out. I had the three course lunch for 37. I started with delicious mushroom soup, followed by an equally delicious trout dish with a fantastic sauce. Finally the cake was a great treat to end. The service was very good from an amiable young man. A three hour lunch with a good friend was outstanding

What a gorgeous setting for a meal. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious. We opted for the 3 course set lunch meal which we thought was very affordable. We will definitely be returning soon.

Celebrated our 25th Anniversary and enjoyed the evening on the outdoor Patio. Enjoyed being in the park and this historic atmosphere and little oasis where you can dine while connecting with nature. Great job staff and chef(s) - we truly enjoyed our evening!

Everything about our dinner was terrific - the service, the ambiance (we sat on the veranda) and of course, the food!

Following a Fish Creek Historical Walk six of us enjoyed lunch on the verandah. Our burgers were amazing and especially enjoyable sitting beside the lovely garden. Our waiter was attentive and personable.

We were really looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. I noted on our reservation that it was a special occasion, but it was never acknowledged. Meanwhile, two nearby tables were asked if they were celebrating anything — we weren't even asked. Service felt scattered the whole evening. We weren't given cutlery until after our meals arrived, and only had butter knives to eat our steaks. Bread was forgotten about until it was followed up on, and when it finally came, the portion of butter was barely enough for one person. Our meals were brought by someone else, and our actual server only came by three times total. We had to ask other staff for a drink refill and, later, for the bill. It felt like we were completely overlooked — on what should have been a special night. For a restaurant that appears to focus on service and experience, this was really disappointing.

The Ranche is an unforgettable experience. Excellent food. Excellent service. The building itself is amazing. We took friends from Ontario there for brunch and they were astonished with everything. They said they would definitely be back.

We sat on the patio which was quiet. Our waiter gave us water and then disappeared. We had to go to find him. The beet salad was good. The chicken dish was highly salted. For the money that you spend there are many other better places in Calgary. This was my first time and I was very disappointed. Not likely to return.

As always we love the Ranche House, it's one of our favourites. Food was exceptional. I wanted to give a special shoutout to the bartender. For the first time ever, our service wasn't great. The bartender recognized that and stepped up to help out. Was super friendly, made conversation, recommendations for drink pairing with our desserts.

The 3-Course Lunch Feature is excellent .... tasty food, adequate amounts, and excellent value.

The staff was great, hosts, servers. Food was great. We had lamb and halibut. Both were excellent.

I had the eggs Benedict which was good. Waiter service could improve. I dislike waiters who keep asking to take away my plate when I am not really done eating . I like To sit and graze but I just let him take it away so he wouldn't bother me again. And then walked out hungry as I didn't really finish my plate.

It's always a great experience to come to Bow Valley Ramche. My first time been here for lunch and I absolutely adored the food.

Sat on the veranda for an afternoon lunch. The food service and atmosphere were wonderful. I tried the set menu lunch with the pork tenderloin and is was excellent. A great escape from the busy city
