We had a good experience here. Server was friendly and attentive and food was good. Typical pub fare. Beer seemed a bit on small side and not a real pint. Table was very wobbly so had to watch for spilling. Overall quite good but always room to stand out from the crowd.
It was great food and fantastic service. My only complaint was my chicken was on the dry side but still tasted great. Billie was an amazing server! We will be back!
Our server was really great! The happy hour portions and prices were decent. The tacos tasted like they were reheated and had lots of seasonings salt. The Truffle fries also had lots of seasoning salt and weren't very truffley. The salad was really good.
Attentive service and delicious food. The dumplings and Korean bowl were amazing. Large location, good menu, will be back to try more.
Great food...friendly staff

Fantastic atmosphere, quiet for Thursday, perfect for special occasions with people you're meeting with, and good food for the right prices.
Brix + Barrel has been amazing. They’ve catered our lunches for the past few months, and every single time they impress us. The food is always delicious and beautifully prepared — beyond what we expect.
They come in and set everything up for us, which makes things so easy and stress-free. Dave Giacomini (General Manager) and Chef Rey are wonderful to work with — kind, flexible, and always happy to accommodate changes.
You can truly tell they care about what they do and the people they serve. We feel lucky to have them as our caterer and would absolutely recommend Brix + Barrel to anyone looking for great food and even better service.

Firstly this review is based on my circumstance on the evening. We recently had our hockey teams Christmas party at this venue on Jan 10th, same as the year prior and a great location and spot for it to be held. There was the best part of approx 120 people renting out the entire location. Food was provided as a set meal and well prepared but ran out fast despite portioning.
My main problem was the level of service from the bar staff. Slow, deliberate avoidance and reluctant service, with it kind of being obvious they wanted to go home. The other issue was accidentally leaving my credit card to run a tab and settling with cash for the evening. I settled a $114.64 tab leaving an extremely ample tip ($190) to compensate for the evening. I was later informed that a 20% auto grat was included from a fellow player. No mention by staff or management. I’d expect this at Cowboys over stampede but not here. Forgetting my card at the bar, I was since double charged despite the server supposedly clearing it out and happily accepting the cash payment. Upon receiving my card back - along with print out receipt there was an added “wild mushroom soup” added to my tab despite the evening having a set meal in place and no other food ordered. Maybe a ploy to rack up things and scam us. In general. Not too happy with the outcome.
I do however really appreciate the work of the GM who helped to get the card back and despite now having to wait 3 days for the refund and accounting to fix the situation. Was a pleasure to deal with, informative and kept in contact.
Sadly as a few of us ended up with heavier tabs. I have a feeling our club isn’t going to be re booking this venue.

Our Server Hannah was fantastic! Accommodated both mine and my customers dietary requests. Made it a pleasant lunch meeting.
Brix + Barrel feels like the kind of place that understands how to make a guest feel valued. The moment you walk in, there is a calm confidence to the space that sets the tone for a great experience. The staff carry themselves with a level of care that makes everything feel smooth and effortless, almost like they are quietly making sure your night goes exactly the way you hoped. The food is polished and full of intention, with flavours that feel both comforting and elevated. It is the sort of restaurant that reminds you how enjoyable a well executed evening out can be.

Not a bad lunch place. The food isn't to die for but it isn't terrible - a little bit of seasoning on the rice and veg wouldn't hurt. Good service and it was pretty quick on a busy day!

Food was delicious (calamari & Korean bowl) and staff amazing (shout out to the man in the gray Christmas sweater who fixed our table light 😊). I will surely go back and tell others about it!

Ordered the steak and frites ($47). Steak was ordered medium rare and it was well done, cold and had so much tough fat on it I could barely eat any of it. The roasted garlic demi was just thick brown slop. One of the worst steaks I've eaten.
I don't understand the high reviews. I went there yesterday. It was 5 of us. It took 45 min to get food order in. My salmon was dry and completely bland so I had to ask for salt that was too thick and would not come out. The schnitzels were paper thin. My boyfriend's blackened chicken was the best but way too salty. Overall big disappointment. Would not return.

This was a last minute decision on a hectic winter evening but reviews indicated it wouldn't disappoint. Boy, were they right!! Not too often is every item you order checking all the boxes but here.. it did just that. My husband ordered a chicken chop salad which he raved about although he's typically not a salad-kind-of-guy. Just the right amount of dressing and uber fresh ingredients got two thumbs way up. The menu is smaller, so I struggled to find something I was in the mood to eat. The server recommended a couple items including their smash burger and their their mushroom soup. So I subbed salad for a small soup and gave them both a try. WOW!! The MOST flavourful mushroom soup I've ever had. Thick, with large fresh mushrooms and a perfectly balanced broth. The burger was equally impressive. It's those little details done so well... a bun toasted perfectly, just the right amount of slaw, crunchy flavourful pickles, and a tender beef patty that was juicy, but not messy! Between the two of us, we'd be happy ordering any one of these dishes again. But we're looking forward to trying more!! Bravo to the Brix + Barrel
