I went to Modern Love with some friends for a night out and the bar service was terrible. The guy wearing the “Marshall” jersey was rude and dismissive. Ignored me completely. Just very rude and ignorant. The DJs were also incredibly rude (bleached blond guy) that was upstairs was ignorant and wouldn’t even look at me. Same with the DJ that was later downstairs. Not sure why they had such attitudes. Probably would not go back.

We were there as a group, just sitting and enjoying ourselves, when a security guard came up and told one of our friends she was cut off and too intoxicated to be there, He said he was watching us outside and inside and he thought she was too drunk. She wasn’t very intoxicated, just being her normal, bubbly self. When we asked for clarification or identification, he became defensive and even pulled out his walkie talkie like we were a threat. It was humiliating and made our friend cry. Thankfully someone in our group was able to de-escalate, but the way it was handled was completely unprofessional and based on nothing but assumptions.

If I could give zero star I would the service was garbage It's toonie tuesday right so how the heck did my 2 2$ burgers 2 small rum and cokes and a split the bill nachos come out to 39$ I asked for a receipt and all the machines have them ripped out of the back of the machine so no receipts I got ripped off waited 40 mins for a burger and it was just a burnt dry disgusting burger will never come again sad their moto is come get a burger for 2$ to counter inflating food costs but u get over charged and the food is worse then just getting a mcdouble at dons
Visited early July and found the team that work there welcoming and friendly. A gig was on that I didn’t know about beforehand. This was well attended with a great atmosphere. Would definitely go back, although do my homework next time so I know who’s playing!

Came here for a Stampede event on the roof top and it was terrible. Layout was unsafe, food came out way late, and poor drink choices. Way too many people allowed for the space.

I love modern rooftops, they host amazing events with great local djs. But most of the praise has to go to the crew, especially Dean and Sarah, they are such amazing people with great personalities, definitely will be coming back for great vibes
