Amazing food

Honestly one of the best meals I've had on 17th Ave in Calgary.
Came in to Brooklyn Dumpling Shop on 17 Ave and tried four things and all of them hit. The pork soup dumplings were absolutely incredible. The wagyu beef dumplings were next level, you could taste the quality of the meat immediately. And the mac and cheese fusion dumplings? I wasn't sure what to expect but they were creamy, comforting, and somehow totally worked. To top it off I got the Brooklyn Bowl with rice, chicken breast, and kung bao sauce. Bold, saucy, and filling without being heavy. A perfect compliment to the dumplings. The 17th Ave location has great energy, fast service, and clearly knows what they're doing. If you're in Mission or anywhere on 17th Ave and haven't been yet, fix that immediately.

My best friend and I had been craving bao for so long. Living in more remote areas of BC, we don’t always have access to a wide variety of food options, so when we came across Brooklyn Dumpling Shop online, we knew we had to try it.

We ended up trying almost everything on the menu! Haha. Our absolute favourites were the Korean BBQ dumplings and the Mac & Cheese dumplings both were packed with flavour and perfectly cooked. The crispy chicken bao was delicious, and the dumpling soup was just as impressive. Honestly, 10/10 recommend.

What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the service. Greg was knowledgeable, gave fantastic recommendations, and had a welcoming smile the entire time. He made us feel right at home, which really was the cherry on top of an already amazing meal.

We’ll definitely be back when we return to Calgary!

My wife was right—this place was actually better than expected. It’s a good, reliable spot to bring out-of-towners because of the fun and different menu options. The Pork Kimchi dumplings were delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. If you haven't been here, make a point of giving it a try.

The dumplings were decent and their variety for different flavours was amazing. But they don’t accept cash and that’s a disgusting business practice. Won’t return as I don’t support not accepting legal tender.

** edit - you don’t take cash. I asked the person working the till and they said I had to order from the self serve option and there was no possible way to pay cash

$10 for 5 small dumplings, $6 for a small cup of waffle fries. Tasted like ordinary dumplings and fries. Not worth the price.
