Not happy with undercooked omelet and they tried to fix but second attempt was undercooked too. Very pricey so do not recommend.

Really excellent, best brunch place in Calgary that I’ve tried thus far. Favourite is definitely the soft shell crab benny, though the mushroom truffle (pictured here) was also delicious! They have excellent customer service here, and the manager went above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I. Will be coming back!

December 2024: my 5 star return
Brouhaha was so good in July that I had to come back for NYE brunch. I was happy to get a reservation and order a Chicken on the Waffle ($21) and a matcha latte ($5.50).

Amazing as always, the flavours were balanced, quality high and price fair. It’s a really good crunchy yet fluffy waffle. Chicken was tasty and moist.

My matcha latte was not what I expected, especially from an Asian influenced restaurant. I expected genuine matcha or something close, instead I got matcha in a tea bag. It just tasted like slightly matcha flavoured milk.

Overall, good experience. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

July 2024 - My first time: Here is probably one of my most favourite reviews to ever write. Seriously. This experience has been my most pleasant ever.

What you see here is the So ‘soft crab benny and the iced butter scotch latte. I didn’t know what to expect ordering either of these, but holy shit I’m impressed.

Let’s start off with my only complaint. The brioche bun. I didn’t eat the top and I would have been happier with an English Muffin instead.

Now on to everything else. This is THE BEST eggs Benedict I have ever had. I ate literally everything on this plate except for the top of the brioche bun. The hollandaise was flavourful, potatoes were unique and delicious. But I was absolutely shocked by the love put into this plate and the presentation. The soft shell crab was delicious and not over powering at all. I would literally drive to Calgary just to taste this. I don’t think any eggs Benedict will ever live up to this.

And the drink! Home made butterscotch. Best iced coffee I’ve ever had. Literally was licking the straw for the delicious foam.

Now the vibes? Immaculate. They played House Music, GOOD house music. Not the generic, no singing or melody bullshit. Actually dance music. Staff were extremely welcoming and kind. A 20% tip was very fair.

This entire plate and drink was $35.92 with tax and tip. Honestly, I think this place is worth even more than that. Thank you for giving me an amazing solo brunch experience.

To top it all off, they gave me a sucker before I left.

Three of us went this past weekend after seeing the great reviews. Two of us ordered the chicken on a waffle and one ordered the crispy chicken burger. That chicken was 10 out of 10! Dark meat, seasoned and cooked perfectly and a good portion. I live in the south and would go back just for that chicken. The waffle fries were perfect and delicious and the burger came with fruit, which was nice. The waffle is a bubble waffle, which I’d never had before, and I’m not excited about it. It tasted great, but I wouldn’t get it again. When I want a waffle I’m after the crisp and chewy texture of a traditional waffle, and it doesn’t have that. Overall the food was excellent and I’m interested to try something else, with a side of fried chicken, of course!

We chose this restaurant due to the high ratings but we’re unfortunately disappointed by the food. The salmon was not fresh/did not taste fresh. It just tasted bad and funky. We also got the florentine benny, which was not good or bad. Service was good as well as the presentation. The parking situation isn’t great either, but there isn’t anything that can be done about that due to the location.

This was our first time here, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. By the time we arrived, the place was buzzing and quite busy, but we got lucky and managed to snag a table. The atmosphere was lively, which was nice, but it felt a little rushed. The servers were definitely pushing us to finish our meal quickly, probably to make room for new customers, and that made it hard to really relax and enjoy the food at our own pace.

Even though we didn’t have much time to savor everything, the food itself was delicious—everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly, though it felt a bit more transactional than we'd hoped for. Still, despite the rush, the overall experience was good, and I’d definitely consider coming back, maybe at a quieter time to enjoy the full vibe.

Food was amazing. We ordered the Soft Crab Nasi Goreng and Croissant Smoked Salmon Benny. Both were impressive, definitely worth trying! (Tbh I don't usually find brunches impressive but this place is such a gem.) The plates contained a generous amount of sides and everything was cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the meal a lot. Looking forward to returning!

I love going for breakfast dates and always on the hunt for amazing Eggs Benedict. Today I had the Classic Benny at Brouhaha and it did not disappoint! Everything we had was amazing and beautifully presented too. 10/10 recommend! Possibly the best eggs benny in the city.

Have you ever had a morning where nothing goes right, got into a fight with your partner and the only thing that can make it better is some of the best Asian-fusion breakfast in the city? Brouhaha combines incredible service with generous portions, delightful presentation and seriously tasty food.

We had the croissant french toast (French Toast Forever) and the soft shelled crab nasi goreng and it made all of our problems disappear! The French toast was two whole croissants with custard, berries and almond brittle and it was amazing and the nasi goreng was both flavorful and filling. Plus, the prices are what I would consider pre-Pandemic level affordable compared to some places out there! Can't wait to come back to try their omurice, another review has a video of it and it looks just like what I've seen in Japan!
