My BYOP bun bo hue was so good that I almost don’t want to tell anyone…but here you go, this place is must visit!!We visited for BYOP bun bo hue, we needed it for 8 ppl but we did not have big enough pot for 8 potions. They sell a bucket big enough for that for $5, you do not even need to bring your own pot!The soup was absolutely delicious, it is sweet and aromatic. The soup came with a lot of stuff like fish balls and a LOT of meat! They also gave us tons of bean sprouts, onions, and chili oils(which was actually spicy), and of course a lot of noodle!Service was quick and friendly, it is GREAT value, I really enjoyed their food. Thank you so much!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible

Great value! Generous portions. On the salty side, so we adjusted with chicken stock and rock sugar. So we have LOTS of stock. Haha. Also needed to supplement with more vegetables and herbs. The chili oil they give you is super spicy and flavorful. Their noodles are amazing! Would recommend and go back for sure. Worth the 3 hour drive.Never knew that this BYOP model would work so well.

Recently tried this spot for the first time after hearing rave reviews. It’s convenient and good value for the amount of food you get. We paid $40 which was supposed to be 5-6 portions but would’ve easily fed 7-8. Taste wise; soup was a bit lighter than I would’ve liked but depth of broth is preferential for everyone. I was missing meatballs as seen in other photos so that was disappointing. Chilli oil is good and has a kick to it. It’s cash only! Service might seem unfriendly at first but you just have to know what you want as they are old school and efficient

Honestly don’t care much about the service. As long as the food was good.I was nervous about ordering here after reading a few recent reviews giving them bad reviews. The food was good, service was standard.

Probably unlucky but looked like we got the bottom of the pot, all the noodles were broken. Had to eat the pho like macaroni. On top of that owner was rude.

Don’t know what happened to this once iconic BYOP, Bun Bo Hue Deli! I’m so sad to report that the quality has gone downhill. Their meats are chewy, soup tastes like it’s about to go rotten and meatballs are too salty, even after bringing the pot to a full rolling boil as soon as it’s brought home. I get that they’re going on 3+ decades of business and I’m sure they’re growing weary and tired of it all. Soup should not spoil so quickly when brought home. There is another BYOP establishment close by that offers fresher options and their soup doesn’t spoil within a few hours as most soups should not.

Brought $30 of bun Bo hue yesterday (Sunday) less meat, less noodles and broth. Very disappointed…. I know these days everything is increase the amount I got for $30 seems like enough for maybe three bowl. I am not sure if the place got sold out or the place is now run by the daughter’s as usually the old guy holds the front counter so if it is there daughter’s running the place not worth buying anymore.

Scam? Bought $40 of bun bo hue, brought my own pot, and this is what I received? The amount of meat? $40 worth of bun bo and this is how much you’re serving to your customers? Robbing our money? Highly recommend not buying $40 worth of food, small amount of food, small amount of meat. Owner daughter scooped this spot? Greedy people these day this is $20 instead of $40. 4 pieces of big meat, small amount of beef. Been buying this bun Bo for years? Very disappointed today. Never buying this again.

I had heard about this place many times, and finally made the trip with pot-in-hand. My entire Vietnamese soup experience was Pho up to this point, so I was keen to try Bun Bo Hue.I ordered enough for 4 people, but what came could easily have fed 8 people. We happily ate it for 3 meals. The broth is killer. Deeply layered bone soup with lots of depth of flavor and spice. Not as clear as Pho, but distinctly different in taste. You can add more spice when the proprietor is filling your pot if you choose. What he gave us was just right for us. Nice burn, but not overwhelming.Noodles were really good, distinctively round, and the portion was generous. Condiments were also fresh and abundant, lime, basil, bean sprouts. Meat was a little tough, my only complaint. I'll add some of my own beef/pork next time.It was a great experience that we hope to do again soon. I recommend it to anyone with a little sense of adventure.
