The burger quality does not match the awesome look of the shop. Foods should be produced by people that regularly enjoy the product and know how it should be prepared my dudes.
Day old chopped lettuce on a $20 burger is wild

Great burger spot! Fresh ingredients, juicy patties, and fast service. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food hits the spot every time. Definitely worth a visit! It’s Also Halal.

First Impressions
We visited Bussin Burger after seeing strong reviews on Google Maps, hoping for a good smash-style burger — something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. What stood out most wasn’t just the food, but the lack of clarity that shaped the entire visit.
Transparency Matters
We discovered only after ordering that this is a halal restaurant. That’s completely fine — but it should be stated clearly on Google Maps, in the restaurant, or at least visibly on their website. When I asked about bacon, the staff explained that they only serve beef bacon. I appreciated the clarification, but it felt misleading that there was no signage or indication of this anywhere. Transparency matters — not because it’s halal, but because diners deserve to know what they’re ordering.
Food Quality
The burger itself was underwhelming. The two patties were thin — honestly, there’s more meat in a Big Mac. The beef bacon had a strange aftertaste, and the cheese and tomato were sliced so thin they were barely there. On the positive side, the bun was excellent — soft, fresh, and nicely toasted. The sweet yam fries were crisp and flavorful, and the poutine was surprisingly good, with balanced gravy and fresh cheese curds.
Service
Our first interaction with the young woman behind the counter felt a little tense, especially when asking about the bacon. Perhaps she was surprised we didn’t know it was a halal place, but again, there was no way to know.
Value
Our order — three burgers, one sweet yam fries, one poutine, and one drink — came to just over $60. Considering the portion sizes and overall quality, it didn’t feel like a great value for what we received.
Final Thoughts
Bussin Burger might be a great fit for those specifically looking for a halal burger option, but it wasn’t quite for us. Still, the poutine showed genuine care and flavor, and I sincerely wish the owners and team all the best as they continue refining what could become a strong concept for the right audience.

THIS WAS AMAZING! Bussin’ off 9th Ave checked every box for my girlfriends and I. Service was exceptional, food quality and quantity was generous and did not disappoint. Shout out to whoever was helping us at the front desk, she was so kind, and helpful which made for a very welcoming atmosphere. Great place for cute pics too. Will be going back very soon!!

Meh. Bussin burger and crinkle fries ordered. Burger lacked seasoning and honestly was not very flavourful at all. Not bad, just not very good. Crinkle fries, huge portion ($4.99), but lacked seasoning and undercooked. No tall tables or chairs inside so only patio picnic tables to eat, gorgeous so it worked out well for that. Nothing exceptional and certwinly not worth a 2nd visit.....much better burger options in Calgary IMO.

Prepare to wait. Online orders like skip the dishes get priority and it's often a long wait. I went in for a burger and mozzarella sticks and it was a 30 minute wait. Perhaps it's better to just order online, it might be quicker. That's 3 times here I've had to wait a long time. The burgers are decent though. In their defense this seems to happen in alot of places now. They make most of their money through online orders so walk ins just have to wait.
