Top notch ambience and food ! The Mugh makhani was too tangy for the taste and Naan was partially burnt and tough to tear when cold, but the Lamb biryani was great. The showstopper has to be the Kolkata Kathi Roll, and Chilli chicken.

We tried their tasting menu yesterday. It was $55/person and the food was relatively disappointing. They had some good starters but the quantity was extremely underwhelming. The service was terrible and the curry that they served which was supposed to be a prawn curry had two prawns.Overall disappointing but will recommend their Achari Panner and their sweet dish.

Our evening at CCC was truly exceptional. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with impeccable service. The staff’s attentiveness and genuine interactions added a special touch to our dining experience. The ambiance, with its 70s music playlist and stunning decor, set the perfect tone. Each cocktail was thoughtfully prepared, every course impeccably timed, and the dishes were truly exquisite. We started with Achari Paneer, marinated, grilled and served in a fresh mint sauce, followed with Murgh Makhani, an elevated butter chicken with rich sauce with tender meat; Kosha Mangsho, a slow roast leg of lamb with a dry curry and caramelized onion, chilli, cardamom and cinnamon; and a fresh take on Baingan Bhartha, a roasted and smokey eggplant dish, along with rice, naan and chutneys. All was so delicious, we can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu! This was an unforgettable dinner experience, and we highly recommend it to others!

Easy 5 stars. Consistently the best Indian food I've tried. The service is also good, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the interior is beautifully decorated. The kati rolls are a must, and I could eat the kosha mangsho lamb curry every day.

A couple of weeks ago, my family (party of 4) dined here for the second time. The first time was in November 2023 and it was at their previous location. The food was fantastic, service was excellent….obviously we were going to return.Well, what a disappointment! Never again. Our reservation had been made at least a week in advance for 6pm on a Monday evening. We ordered appetizers, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. After placing our orders, a bit of time passed before the server returned to advise one of us that their order was unavailable today. Then, we waited…and waited….and waited…and, as the clock ticked on….we sat looking around, a bit puzzled as to what had happened to our main dishes. By 7:45pm, we had all lost our appetite, but our mains arrived with an apology that one of the dishes took extra time to prepare. No indication of this was mentioned during ordering, nor was there a note on the menu. Some of us received our meals before others…by a big time gap. As we sat politely, thinking that we would wait for the other dishes…our food got cold. This was a dinner booked to celebrate a special occasion (noted at time of reservation). No acknowledgement of this was given to our table. To sum it all up, the food was extremely disappointing and we left feeling like we had been to an entirely different restaurant.

New location lives up to its reputation of beautiful design and top notch service. Indian retro chic vibes with a groovy playlist in the background.I can’t name all of our dishes. In fact I can’t recall any of the names. Everything was very tasty. The spices really shine in each dish and you can smell them easily without any hunching over your plate. However, the one issue we both agreed on was that some dishes were over-sauced and most were overly salty. I like salt, but this was way too salty. We didn’t say a word though because everything else was perfect. BTW we had the Taste of Calcutta option because we simply don’t know enough about Indian cuisine and appreciate something that would give us an overall experience. It was a lot of food, but still, we also ordered these sort of wraps that were crazy good. The wrap itself was like if a gyro pita and a croissant had a baby - flakey, yet chewy. And bendable enough to wrap some Indian deliciousness inside!Cocktail menu seemed limited for us but it was certainly true to the restaurant theme. We sat at the bar and our bartender from London was a really cool and kind host. As was our waiter whom appeared to be the manager as he was dressed so sharp with such a professional demeanour… without any pretentiousness. We found all the staff to be quite warm and friendly. For my friend’s birthday they all signed a birthday card (Calcutta Cricket Club card) which they gave to him at the end of the service. It was a really thoughtful touch. They provided free coat check service with a very cool retro metal claim tag. Again, really driving that old school Indian theme home!Parking: If it’s snowy or you just want you car away from the elements there’s easy underground parking at the Hotel Arts just across the street. If you take the right exit you’ll pop up right by the crosswalk to get to the restaurant. $10 is what it costed us.

Wow! Wicked space, awesome service and superb lunch special. I will say the rice was a little crunchy and curries were extremely spicy and I can handle a good amount of heat, but nonetheless still delicious.

The staff is just lovely. The interior is beautifully colonial British/Indian and the smells from the kitchen make you want to come back. Thank you for a lovely dinner.
