Awesome vibe, great service, and amazing food. Highly recommend.
Unbelievable assortment of bakery items, very exquisite detail on each item, great vibes!
Briefly in Calgary and would return to city JUST TO EAT HERE.đ
Excellent and fresh. The staff are very helpful and the outdoor seating is perfect.
A great selection of incredible looking vegan treats. Lovely to have a whole cabinet dedicated to gluten free treats too
So much choice and really friendly service. I havenât had an almond croissant since going vegan and this one was incredible!
SO delicious and creative! I could have eaten the whole shop! Milo ed the open kitchen so you could see the talented bakers at work.
We have been coming to Canela for years and it only gets better and better!
I have yet to find something I donât like at canela! Their pastries are amazing, both the sweet and the savory ones, and their drinks are really good as well
Great selection Fantastic coffees as well

Canela is amazing. They have such an extensive variety of vegan booked goods that itâs astounding. The majority of the items are sweet (including donuts and pop tarts), but they have a few savoury items too (including sausage rolls and frittata) along with a selection of gluten free items. We visited just before Xmas so we were able to enjoy seasonal drinks including peppermint matcha and oat nog lattes. Canela are on the âmustâ list for the next time we are in Calgary.
I had been following the bakeryâs social media for sometime and went in to indulge in the potato bacon soup that was posted. Unfortunately, the soup was served cold and I had to ask the staff to microwave it. The cookie my fiancĂ© and I chose (a coconut sprinkle cookie) was exceptionally hard and not satisfying. The frittata we ordered was delicious in flavour and texture, however it was also served cold in the middle.

I tried to order a birthday cake for my partner in December and had an incredibly frustrating experience. I initially called to place the order and was told the manager would confirm it with me. Days passed without any follow-up, so I called back to check on the status. The person I spoke with seemed unaware of my order but promised to pass it along.
I called again the next day, only to be told the manager wasnât available but would email me that day. That email never came. Frustrated, I decided to go into the bakery in person and provided my phone number, hoping this would finally ensure my order was confirmed. Despite multiple calls and even visiting the bakery, no oneâneither staff nor the ownerâbothered to confirm my order or return my calls.
Ultimately, I ordered from Kashew Bakery instead, and the experience was amazingâseamless, professional, and stress-free. My partner and I used to enjoy visiting Canela Bakery because of their vegan treats, but after this experience, I canât see myself returning. Customer service like this is unacceptable.

Canela Vegan Bakery is exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the staff, who instantly made me feel welcome.
The bakery's setting is simply beautifulâcharming and cozy, with comfortable seating that invites you to linger a little longer over your treats.
Now, letâs talk about the star of the show: the vegan croissants! They are, without a doubt, the best Iâve ever had. Flaky, buttery, and packed with flavour, theyâre a true delight for both vegans and non-vegans alike. The scones were equally amazingâlight, fluffy, and bursting with deliciousness.
Canela Vegan Bakery is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor the best in vegan treats. With its lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff, and unforgettable pastries, I canât recommend it highly enough!
