Tucked into the heart of Calgary, Carino delivers a bold fusion of Japanese and Italian flavors and nails it! I started with Chicken and Veg Momo and Scallops for my main, both were standouts: fresh and flavorful. The place was bustling with energy, which added to the atmosphere, though it did get a bit loud at times. Still, the vibrant crowd only reinforced Carino's popularity - clearly a local favorite for a reason. If you're in Calgary and looking for something unique...

Both the service and the food are amazing! The Duck! is especially good, the momos and the tonkatsu curry are also excellent. The dessert Sakura parfait gives a memorable delicious end to the whole dining experience. The only small complaint are that the tables are small and seatings are tight.

The concept of Japanese Italian fusion intrigued me as I’m a huge lover of both kinds of food so I was so happy to see this place pop up.

We ordered:
- chicken 8/10 and veggie momos 10/10
- wagyu beef bucatini 10/10
- donkatsu curry carbonara 8/10
- sakura parfait 10/10
- iced hojicha tea 10/10
