This restaurant is closed. And I can’t seem to express myself more succinctly and use any more words to get my meaning across to you that the place is not open to welcome customers as there is no staff on right now so I am afraid you would be sitting alone in the dark. I really don’t know how to say this in more words. My vocabulary seems to be limited to the number of ways the English language can express the fact that the place no longer serves meat or even chicken or fish for that matter. You will not even be able to get it across to the nonexistent staff to even get you a glass of water and a piece of bread. I hope I have made my self clear that joint is now closed.

They're closed. According to front desk, they refuse to open as they feel the hotel doesn't have enough traffic to justify it.

I went for the first time here this evening for my company Christmas dinner and I was very pleased all around with Carvers! I have a peanut allergy and the staff were very attentive to making sure that all foods I was served were completely risk-free for me to eat. The tasty breads, kale salad and additional appetizers which started our meal made another impression with me. I also found the small, but sweet tasting palette-cleaning sherbert we were given was a nice little extra touch. Then onto the main course: 28 day old triple-A Alberta prime rib beautifully cooked medium rare as I like it. Every bite was juicy and delicious! They also served colorful and flavourful vegetables along with wonderfully cooked mashed/whipped potatoes. Finally, due to my peanut allergy and since the gingerbread parfe for dessert had some kind of nuts in it, I was served a super good creme brulee with whipped cream and berries as a substitute and it was a fabulous way to finish off a fantastic round of food. Not to mention that when I was looking over the menu to begin with, that I was seeing more than a few items there that I will definitely want to order the next time I return. Way to go, Carvers!

This spot simply knows how to treat their clients. Always with a welcoming approach. The food is fairly priced, always delicious and neat.

I like this place! They give high class food, their menu is rich, The chef in that place is an expert, I love a lot trying all their food. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is good. I often eat in this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I highly recommend it.

Been many years since I came to this place. There was 4 of us and 2 ordered the 2 course Pre Fixe dinner and other 2 ordered the 12 oz prime rib. I forgot to take pictures before everyone started eating, but for the pre fixe dinner it came with an appetizer and said entree would be a 10oz striploin. First off the Prime Rib was excellent and had the normal sides (mashed potatoes and veggies). Exact same sides for the striploin, but when it came out, there was no way it was 10oz. It looked more like a 6oz serving at best. Food wasn't bad, but the value could've been better. Nothing crazy special and probably will be another few years atleast till I attempt to go again.

Food was nice but really small portions and expensive. Not a lot of options for appetizers. Drinks were either wine or juice, no cocktails

GENERAL GENERAL

A little pricey but it is a high end steak house so you do get what you pay for, food is amazing they do know how to make a class steak no question. it is great for special occasions anniversary things like that. there you pay for a Cadillac you get one great service friendly staff highly recommended.

Had a great meal and experience last night at Carver's. My Mother and Father-in-law own an Alberta ranch so I am lucky enough to have truly excellent beef in my home. I rarely go to a restaurant and have a steak or prime rib dinner that I have raved about but last night's meal exceeded my expectations. Will definately return when I am back in Calgary.

After spending New Year’s Eve at Carvers a couple of years ago, and enjoying “set” courses and service, we decided to return this New Years. This will be the last time we will spend our New Years, and our money, at Carvers. No longer did they have a planned menu, which was fantastic on our previous visit. Our meals came on plates that were warm yet the food was not. After sending “all” our meals back and being told new meals would be prepared, the food came back not much warmer, and, the same food reheated. One steak was overcooked. No adjustment was made to the check, nor was anything offered to compensate.
