Very busy restaurant. Came here cause we were staying at a hotel within walking distance. Was kinda a Keg vibe. I had Mediterranean chicken. It was over cooked. Was suppose to have a dill sauce and tasted nothing like dill. Just a white sauce that lacked flavour. Rice seemed like it came out of a bag. Veggies good. Hubby had the baby back ribs with twice baked potato with all the toppings. He was happy. Wine was expensive. Had a lounge and restaurant side.
I’m sure the steaks may of been great. But probably wouldn’t go back.

Recommended by a friend. Filet Mignon was best ever. Chicken Alfredo was excellent. Service was amazing. Calamari was a little rubbery and they added lemon juice; we use no lemon. Escargot were excellent. Prime Rib was sub par. Mushrooms had a different taste.

don't be like me.. But I showed up with my son last minute. I'm still here at 10:04pm which is 4 minutes past their closing hours.. Rus the bartender deserves a frigging raise 1 hundo P!!!
My son spilled my drink and they replaced it for free.
And thank God because this bartender is also off the chizainz.
His old fashion will smoke your face off, and I mean that in the the best way possible

Went to cattle baron for the first time and was sadly disappointed. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive, however, the food was not great for the price point. $50 for 14oz prime rib and $13 for french onion soup is ok if it’s really good. The Keg does a much better job on both items for a better price point. Can’t speak to their steaks, however, for the items I had, I would 100% rather go to the Keg for a better product.

came here for my dads birthday and it was great!! our server was so wonderful she was very kind and personable! food came out fast brussels sprouts where so good salty crunchy and delicious! the top sirloin was delicious!! so juicy and flavourful definitely get the twice baked potato as your side it’s so good! for drinks i had the lava mocktail it was a pina colada based drink and it was delicious!!! 10/10 and lastly for dessert we had the Irish crème brûlée and apple gelette and both were so delicious! over all great restaurant and lovely atmosphere great service and of course amazing steak!

Cajun chicken soup, excellent ribeye steak followed by apple gallate with vanilla bean ice cream. Friendly courteous waitress. Good atmosphere.

I couldn't visit Calgary without having some Alberta beef! The steak was perfectly cooked. The broccoli could have steamed a little more for my liking as it was almost raw, but the carrots and mashed potatoes were good. We had a Caesar salad that we shared for a starter. The Lava Flow drink was so good my husband had two. Service was perfect amd in fact, when I discovered the gravy I started to pour on my mashed potatoes had mushrooms in it (I'm allergic) the server replaced it right away with the peppercorn gravy. I picked off the offending mushrooms as I had only poured a wee bit. Fortunately the allergy isn't serious enough to kill me. I had the peppercorn NY steak and my husband had the top sirloin, and both were just melt-in-your-mouth perfect. We may eat there again before we leave Calgary.

We're travelers from The east coast of Canada. Some family took us here and raved about how amazing it was, but for us it wasn't up to the hype. Service wasn't great, although our server was pleasant, she was absent , hard to track down for more drinks etc... Kinda like we were in the forgotten corner table. The Food took forever to come. Over 40 mins, and it wasn't very hot.
Think the Keg steak house chain is better. Although almost every single restaurant experience we had in Calgary wasn't very good. We had high expectations, mediocre experience.

Great food and service! We travel to Calgary for business and this is our favourite place to eat a healthy and well prepared meal. The salmon and steaks are always perfectly grilled and the wine list offers much selection. The servers are always attentive and have a wonderful sense of humor.

The restaurant was highly recommended to us. My adult children suggested we go for my birthday dinner, their treat! We ahead called to book our table. The member of staff asked if there was a special occasion for our reservation. On the day of the meal the server did acknowledge the reason for our visit with birthday greetings.

Once the food was served, which was enjoyed by all members of our party, the attention to detail and care was somewhat lacking. The server often refilled the water glasses, but not our sodas. Maybe there are no free refills here. My ‘kids’ had hoped that there would be a little complimentary sweet treat gifted, but sadly nothing was offered. It’s not the end of the world let’s be honest, but I guess we all expected more from this calibre of restaurant. Maybe we set our expectations too high?
