When we sat down we sat on wet chairs since they claimed that they just cleaned them without drying.
Brussels sprouts and bacon was a bit burned and prime rib was a total disappointment
First of all we got the end cut so it was not tender, some portions we actually tasted only meat taste, we got gravy instead of the au jus
Maybe the high ratings are not from prime ribs
Ok but pricey. Wine 16$ a glass
Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Great food portions, perfectly cooked steak, really nice establishment 10/10
Oh my goodness, I was beyond impressed. I may hurt for days I ate so much. The food was terrific. The steak was cooked perfectly. The side mushrooms were excellent, and no skimping. The service was incredible she was a wonderful soul. I wish I had this restaurant in British Columbia.
10 plus
Our family has enjoyed this restaurant for special occasions through the years!
For $61, the steak was incredibly disappointing – tough, lacking tenderness, and not worth half the price. I’ve made better steaks on an open flame ice fishing in -20.
The lobster tail looked like a plastic toy, overcooked, and so tough that even butter couldn't salvage it. The lobster mac and cheese, priced at $26, tasted cheap and featured what seemed like imitation lobster.
The twice-baked potato was decent, around a 7/10, but not remarkable. The $10 side of mushrooms and $10 peppercorn sauce felt overpriced. The old-fashioned tasted weak and poorly mixed, reminiscent of an airport bar drink, and the Hula cocktail was bland and watery.
Overall, a $300 (server was great) meal that didn’t deliver – I wouldn’t return.
The atmosphere is very relaxing and the lounge is a perfect place for a date. Food melted in your mouth, best steak I had in a long time that I haven't cooked myself. Service was on point and there was no waiting for anything. If you did wait it made sense to wait for that item. Will differently be back when back in town.
We ordered 3 different entre's and all were excellent. The waiter was prompt and service was great. Would sure recommend visiting this place.
Best steak I've had in a long time! Awesome service and dessert (apple galette) was amazing!
First time here and I'll be back! Steak Oscar was cooked to perfection and service was great.

Waiter was awesome and it made for an enjoyable unrushed evening. We had 2 ribeye steaks with one being gristly and tough. The other was better but still a bit on the tough side. We went with the garlic mashed potatoes on the recommendation but they were quite dry and tasted somewhat commercial. Definitely not the advertised fluffy.
Don't think we've ever had a bad meal here. Tonight was no exception. Caeser salad to share, Steaks for the main course, done to perfection. Tried a new rye (Bearface) with the help.of our server and we were not disappointed. We willbe back
It was our 45th Anniversary We had been at this particular locations years ago and remembered the food. We came in and was seated near the Fire place .. exactly where I wanted to sit. The young server was prompt had suggesting the special and other questions we asked . I liked a medium sweet wine and Krerstin our server was very helpful as well. the food came out hot and she poured our wine. It was a fabulous meal. The service was outstanding Professional, helpful and courteous. I highly recommend "The Cattle Baron" Canadian Owned and operated. The Steaks were melt in the mouth delicious, the Lobster cooked to perfection. Like everything it was a tad pricy however every bite was worth the coin. Thank you Cattle Baron. Overall we enjoyed ourselves here for our 1st time. Ordered the wedge salad which was pretty standard along with my filet mignon and twice baked potato. My boyfriend got the rib eye which he said was one of the best steaks he's ever had. It did take awhile to have our server come over initially (over 5 minutes), and after we declined a dessert menu the bill was brought to us even tho we hadn't said we were ready for it. This was a little strange as we still wanted to have another drink and hadn't asked for the bill. Besides this we had a positive experience and will be back again!
We visited CattleBaron at 6:30 for a date night and had a great experience. Our server promptly brought us water and drinks, and after taking our order, the appetizers arrived hot and delicious. By the time we were finishing up, our main dishes came out, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The overall atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming—we could still enjoy our conversation comfortably. A great spot for a flavorful meal with a nice ambiance!
