I was a bit disappointed on the food quality. They were all just mediocre. We received our appetizers within a reasonable time after ordering. After the appetizers, we waited for an extremely long time for our meal. The waitress and such all came and apologized. They gave us some fries to munch on while we waited. They said they were behind because there were a big crowd that they were serving.
Anyway, the main courses were so so only honestly.
Visited Charcut for dinner with friends last week. Server seemed tired, uninterested and unable to answer questions about certain wines. Excuse given was that he worked at this location one day a week.
Food was forgetable and poor value. We ordered two of the beef dishes. The prime rib was bland and chewy. The asparagus was barely warm and al dente and virtually without flavour. Potatoes were average. Ambience was loud. Felt pressured at the end of the meal to pay and leave. Won't be back.
Beef marrow croquettes were amazing, the fried mozzarella was amazing, the grilled octopus was amazing, our drinks were amazing, and the service was amazing. Thanks for a great meal!
Best lunch deal you will find in under 30min. $20 gets you a top notch sandwich, fries and soup. This is how all fine restaurants should be doing their business lunches.
Good spot for lunch inside the hotel.
Nice atmosphere, taste was good, server was nice too. The portion sizes were so tiny for the price we paid. Had to go across the road to the save on food for some snacks as we were still hungry.
All around amazing experience
Love Wins and wow the food here is amazing
Just the best place I have ever eaten at
Major disappointment for the steak. I was here before for lunch I recalled it was decent. However the dinner experience did not deliver. Being in Alberta we are known for amazing rib eye. For $5.5/ oz you would expect a premium cut and yet the quality is comparable to the prime rib you get at a hotel buffet counter, albeit a fine hotel but this is a fine dining restaurant. I could go into detail on the quality, the cut, the cooking process but I think the establishment knows how their steak stacks against other steakhouse charging this price tag.

At first glance this sink looks like it would be a nightmare to pee in, but I’m pleased to report that it is an absolute delight. The low height makes it more accessible than it looks and the basin has wonderfully musical acoustic properties. I would not only return for the stellar service and food, but also this majestic sink to urinate in!
Had breakfast and dinner here as part of my stay in the Le Germain hotel. Kind of wish they opened a little earlier for breakfast but that’s not a big deal.
Great food, the staff is friendly and informative and their happy hour is pretty good. And considering the location and ambience, it’s decently priced.
I really enjoyed the steak strips..asked for 6 oz minimum 5.50/ oz. Asked to substitute the potatoes for sauteed mushrooms instead. Great flavour and taste. Thanks chefs and wait staff. 10/10 food and short staff service were all pretty friendly, nice, overall a great night 9/10 overall.
Great place to eat if you want to try local Alberta beef steak, ribs or bison brisket. Cooked perfectly. The bison brisket with mushrooms and red wine sauce is very tasty. The brisket melts in the mouth. I would also recommend the beef marrow croquettes. Service here is very good.
Had a great lunch here yesterday! Venus was excellent as our server!! I hope I caught their name right! Great service overall, excellent menu recommendations and well made cocktails! We enjoyed the soup and sandwich of the day lunch specials.
