We were in town for business and had a dinner there. We are a large group and did family style sharing. The food is very good - we just asked server to bring out her recommendations (so not quite sure about names). The server is charming and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Had to wait soooo long for our food. From the time we sat down to the time we had our food I think it was close to 75 minutes. There was a long wait between bringing our drinks and appetizers before even taking our food orders.

The food was overpriced for what it was. Also, it was very very salty.

Also, the vegan and gluten options were not indicated and the waitress was not helpful in helping us find something for our allergies and dietary restrictions.

The experience was okay but not amazing. I would save my money and choose another restaurant.

Had an incredible dinner here. The food was excellent - beef marrow croquettes, charred octopus, chorizo, wild boar agnelotti, blistered vine tomatoes - just some of the excellent items we enjoyed. Our server, Ireland, was exceptional - her recommendations were spot-on and she was very attentive and kind. An all around wonderful experience and look forward to coming again

This is the new location in University District, unfortunately is not as good as the one in downtown Calgary, the waitress didn’t have a good understanding of the drinks when we asked few basic questions like (what “bourbon” they are putting in the old fashioned?). Meat portion was significantly smaller than expected, you can see in the picture of the lunch special, and overcooked in my opinion, the bread and the truffle mayo are the only things that were great for me…so not great this time, I hope they improve because is a premium spot in University District for sure!

The waitress accidentally entered a higher amount than the actual bill during the credit card transaction, and I didn’t notice until after the payment was processed. Upon reviewing the receipts, I spotted the discrepancy and asked her to clarify. She immediately acknowledged the mistake and apologized. I then requested a full refund of the incorrect charge so I could pay the correct amount instead. When she handed me the device to process the refund, I politely asked whether I should tap it. Her response was uncertain—she said she wasn’t sure, but it likely needed to be tapped for the refund to go through. While such errors can happen, it was a bit unsettling—especially considering what might’ve happened if I hadn’t double-checked the bill.
Side note : I received my credit card statement today and noticed a 2% administrative handling fee applied to a refund from a restaurant — even though the original charge was their mistake. I contacted the credit card center, and they confirmed that the fee should have been borne by the restaurant, not me. While 2% isn’t a huge amount, it does reflect how the restaurant treats its customers. Always double-check your bill before making a payment.

Always prefer a local restaurant versus the chain steakhouses, and this one did not disappoint. Sat at the bar and had terrific service, excellent cocktails and a phenomenal meal. The charred octopus was out of this world. The grilled sausage appetizer was amazing as well. In fact the appetizers were so great, I think it took a little away from the actual meal. The prime rib was also good, but just paled in taste to the two appetizers. Definitely will be back to this restaurant when I return in the future.
