Overall our experience at CharCut was just ok. After confirming my initial reservation, I received 5 follow up emails/text regarding the reservation. This is particularly high considering 1 is standard. The restaurant was freezing, we overheard staff apologizing to people about how cold the room was and lot's of people were eating in their jackets. Something was spilled on the outside of my wine glass, making the class sticky, the "blistered" tomatoes were served...
We had what only can be described as an excellent experience - the best that we have had, among many, in Calgary. The quality of the food far exceed expectations at a very reasonable price. Service was impeccable. We had a delightful evening of dining paired with very good reasonably priced wine. Thank you CHARCUT!
This is the first time to Charcut and we were impressed! We visited the University District location. Lots of parking options, very helpful and friendly staff. Great value for the money in my opinion. The only downside was that it was quite noisy and difficult for someone with hearing difficulties. Having said that we would not hesitate in going back.
