Tried this place for the first time while visiting Calgary during the New Year, based on a friend’s recommendation for authentic South Indian food—and we absolutely loved it. We ordered idli–vada, masala dosa, Mysore dosa, and filter coffee. The idlis were super soft, the medu vadas were perfectly crispy, and everything tasted delicious.

The service was excellent—very friendly and welcoming. We were a large group of 10 adults and 6 kids, and the staff was extremely patient and accommodating with all of us.

Overall, a wonderful experience with great food. Highly recommended—10/10 if you want to enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine.

They offer a Dosa Night on Thursday nights from 5:00-9:30pm that my husband and I love! It’s unlimited dosa for $18, and it includes one order of idli, one vada and one sweet (usually kesari, mango pudding or gulab jamun). It also comes with sambar (lentil soup) and two chutneys, which are refillable. It’s a very good value and delicious, authentic food! You will leave with a full tummy and full heart for sure.

We always do take out and place large orders for functions at home from Chennai spices and it has never failed to hit the mark. Wanted to give it a try in person and the food was amazing.

Had a wonderful dining experience! The chicken parota was absolutely excellent — perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The pineapple kesari was also really good, with just the right balance of sweetness. The highlight for me was the poori bhaaji, which was simply amazing.

A special mention to Vinod for his great assistance throughout our visit. His service made the experience even better.
