I have been to cleaver quite a few times but have never had an experience like this and it’s all thanks to B, he made me and my friends experience one to remember. The second we walked in he welcomed us with warm greeting and after my friend had mentioned it was my birthday he didn’t fail to make me feel extremely special and comfortable. Thank you B! We will be back because of you!!!

Wow! Came out on a Monday evening for drinks for my sisters birthday and I must say we had a lovely time. B was the name of our server and he was such a joy to be around. He had a great personality that was inviting. Keep up the great work B , your kindness doesn’t go unnoticed.

Overheard management berate a young server while trying to find the bathroom. Or at least someone who thinks of themself as management.
I would never talk to another human being that way, yet alone a young woman who was half his age!! Standing over someone and berating them loudly in earshot of customers is poor management and a sloppy intimidation tactic. So is threatening to withhold tips, which is also illegal.
If you’ve ever worked in the service industry, DO NOT SUPPORT CLEAVER ON 17TH!! Go somewhere else that actually respects their servers and staff.

Ate here a little early on Tuesday. It was pretty dead, even when we left at 7pm. We each got a cocktail - mine was really nice. Boumi was a good server. We split the parm fries, gyoza, chicken wings, pork belly, bruschetta, and calamari. All were great. Chicken wings were a bit small but that’s fine. Nice to see a happy hour go until 6pm. I’ll come back for dinner another time.
