hubby and I went on a tues and had the pizza and wine night special - we had a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a bottle of wine. the pizza was loaded and amazing! The waitress did not let us know her name ,or the specials -we advised her it was our first time there and tried to have a conversation with her - but she wanted nothing to do with it ! it’s too bad about the staff , because the food is great!

Great local pub in the area , Fawn the waitress is attentive, out going and super nice , out going waitress. She always keeps us coming Back ! 😊

If we're ever in Calgary on a Wednesday we make a point of visiting our old stomping grounds in McKenzie Lake to visit Coasters. We love their wings and shrimp deals on Wednesday. If you get the Bam Bam Shrimp be sure to ask for the Cusabie (sp?) dip. It pairs very well with the shrimp.

Good prices. Good atmosphere. Karaoke night can be insane but fun, like standing room only insane.

Great neighborhood bar that’s unfortunately ruined by the service. Waitress could win an award for the poorest service in Calgary. Waited 15 minutes and watched her walk by our table multiple times without saying hello or taking any order. Cleared tables and brought drinks to a VLT machine no one was at, all before we were able to even order a water. Used to love coming here, but after the second absolutely terrible experience with the same waitress, would never come back. Lots of great bars in Calgary with servers that actually smile!

This place is too good to be true, but it absolutely is what it is: a great neighbourhood local with incredible dollar value. There are some others like it in the city: great food, service that is reminiscent of Cheers and, of course, budget friendly. It is hard to understand the pricing of drinks in other places when Coasters has 2006 pricing! $4.75 for a 20 oz PBR (on wing night)?!? Nevermind all the other great daily specials. This is my "go to" for wings or when my lovely missus is out of town. Saturday steak sando special is unbeatable! Dang, I am headed there now! Hungry and thirsty. Karaoke is a huge draw. Get there early on Fri and SAT as this is a small pub!

Parking: Lot is small! Taxi, Lyft, Uber or bus. No train service! I like to walk and Uber home.

Great place, great staff. Oddly enough they call last call when it "not busy" early. Came at 12am on Sat, just in time for last call. Bit frustrating but will be back for sure.

it’s 2024, I’m done gatekeeping the best bars in Calgary.. Coasters is SOOOO good! It’s my favourite place and I’m okay if it becomes your favourite place too, because they deserve the hype! Let’s cover all the reasons why. #1 the staff!!!! A tight knit group of my favourite girls as servers (I love them all but special shout out Fawn, love you girl!!). And a kitchen staff who knows exactly what TF they’re doing *chefs kiss* #2 the menu. Omg the food! Always amazing!! IVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!! soooo good, and the prices are even better ;)) my personal favourite are the crunchy chicken burger, coasters burger and steak sandwich. Of course you can miss Wednesdays wing night!!! #3 the prices!!! I play a little game when I go to a new restaurant.. it’s called “let’s compare the prices to Coasters..” TRUST ME ITS A FUN GAME!!! You won’t find better prices. #4 it’s close to home and local!!! And I can come get drunk and walk home. For those of you who don’t live in McKenzie, the food and service is worth the travel!!#5 KARAOKE!!! Fridays and Saturdays babyyy! Starts at 8 pm!!!Honestly… I could go on forever… but come see for yourself!! :)
