As a Service Electrician who drives all 4 quadrants of the city I make a point to find all the good coffee spots and after almost 4 years this is my absolute favorite coffee place. The Beans are unique and theres always fresh made sandwiches and baked good. On cold days I enjoy warming up here with a large coffee, sesame breakfast bagel sandwich and a sugar free scone. So many places have generic coffee and over-priced pre-made food but not here. Also the owner is wonderful and always hits the 'No Tip' option before handing the machine over. 10/10 best place in Calgary.

My eldest daughter was having a tutoring session with her tutor and she brings her laptop. And we asked for the WiFi password but the rude owner with the glasses there. Said we had to buy something in order to get the WiFi password or even be there. I already bought a latte and a dessert for my other daughter so we just sat back down on our table and minded our own business. But then she came to us and started yelling and wanted all 4 of us to buy something. Like my eldest daughter and her tutor but they didn’t even want to get anything anyway. I get if it’s mandatory but she didn’t have to be rude and racist about it (and this is a grown adult by the way).It was a horrible experience cause she was yelling at one of my kids and she was setting a really bad example to my youngest daughter who is only ten and she was being very rude I don’t want my daughter to end up being like that. Then she started asking private questions that are none of her business like asking if I was paying my daughters tutor and she was being very racist just because we’re black but then treating other races nice and respectful. Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had please do not come especially if you have kids or you have tutoring lesson here. (Don’t Come if you want to be treated badly)

Absolute worst experience I've ever had i was having a tutoring session with my tutor and the owner here was very rude the lady was forcing us to buy something when my mom bought something for herself and my little sister. But she wanted all 4 of us to buy/get something in order for us to stay and for my tutor to teach me which i understand if it is required but she was being very mean and disrespectful she could've nicely asked for us to buy something but instead she was being very rude and racist towards me and my tutor and started yelling at us and not even letting us talk and interrupting us which is very immature and she is a grown adult by the way which is very embarrassing. And then we let her talk even though she was being very very disrespectful we thought she was just having a bad day. And then she started asking private questions that are none of her business asking if my mom was paying my tutor like that is absolutely unacceptable. Horrible service that rude lady ruined my day. Please don't come here if you don't want a horrible experience like we did. I just don't want anyone to have a bad day like we did and this very rude horrible racist lady treating us like trash i don't want any to be treated like we did.

This café is a very charming spot! However, the coffee was unfortunately quite disappointing and not up to the standard I’ve experienced elsewhere in the city. My partner ordered the London Fog, which was actually really good. Overall, a lovely space, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the coffee itself.

In town to see family and went there on one of their live jazz nights. The drinks were great, food and treats were wonderful and the staff (perhaps the owners?) were so nice. Definitely be back.
The atmosphere is cozy, and you’re greeted with warmth the moment you walk in. Loza is the sweetest! I’ve sat here for hours while doing work and have been able to see that most of the people who come through the door already know her, and she knows them too. It feels less like customers and more like a community of friends.
And no worries if you’re more introverted, it never feels intimidating! This space is just as welcoming and comfortable no matter who you are.
I would highly recommend this spot for anyone needing to do work or study, as it’s never too crowded and everyone is very respectful with their volume (it’s always felt way more quiet here compared to any other cafe I’ve been too). It has larger tables as well if you ever want to have group get together (book clubs, meeting with clients etc.).
The food is delicious as well and is freshly made, my favourite combination is the Iced Matcha Latte and Ham & Cheese croissant! Though any of the baked goods and breakfast omelette’s are delicious.
All in all, I could continue raving on about this place, but if you’re looking for a new cafe to try out, make this one your next stop!
