I've been here a few times, mostly for the food, it's really delicious! I highly recommend the brisket and dirty fries; they never disappoint. During a few of our earlier visits, the service wasn’t the friendliest, but it has definitely improved in our last couple of visits. If you have a furry friend, spring and summer are the perfect time to visit — their patio is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your pup along for the fun!

We've had 1 good and 1 bad experience at sister restaurant Hayden Block so were hoping we wouldn't be disappointed!
Our waitress was friendly and attentive, answering many questions.
We were up for something a bit different so ordered a few different things to share- Hot Mess (sweet potatoes, jalapeno cream and brisket), bacon wrapped corn, cornbread and chipotle brisket empanadas.
Everything was very tasty, the empanadas were small but packed a lot of flavour, the Hot Mess had a generous portion of brisket, th honey butter upped the cornbread and corn/bacon a fun combo.

I was really looking forward to trying the brisket here, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The brisket was burnt and impossible to chew, which made the meal less enjoyable. On the other hand, the beers were fantastic. While the food missed the mark this time, the drink experience was on point. Hopefully, the kitchen improves the quality of the brisket for future customers.

Dishonest server: ordered turkey meal and was informed to be there at 11:50, only told it won’t be ready until 12:50. After the message shown to the server, was told the order would be ready in 5ish minutes. Food wise, I highly doubt it was turkey and the stuffing is hard to chew. The only plus side is the cleanliness of the venue.

We were disappointed with our experience here. We have tried Hayden Block and Southern Block and had great food at both of those restaurants. Unfortunately Comery Block just doesn't compare. We were there when they first opened and not all tables had been cleaned. The table we sat at had sticky containers of sauce, with lids that hadn't been cleaned in a while. We shared food so we tried the brisket, ribs, hot link along with trays of burnt ends, deep fried pickles, sides of beans, grits, potato salad along with jalapeno cornbread. The food was very average and nothing was served particularly hot aside from the pickles. We all agreed the brisket and ribs were probably the best of what we ate and thought these items were good. I thought the potato salad was good, and it was a generous portion. The rest was just not what we'd expect from a restaurant that is focused on bbq. We have eaten at many bbq restaurants and are not inexperienced in what to expect from this type of food. For what it costs to go out for a meal, I would not choose this again for the food but also the ambience. Aside from sticky items on the table and some uncleaned tables, the doors were left open so even though we weren't eating on a patio we were swatting away flies and wasps. All in all we were disappointed and would not recommend nor return.
