I ordered a side of grits, a piece of jalapeño cornbread, and the bacon 🥓 mac and cheese. This was a delivery order. I probably would have enjoyed everything better if I had dined-in. I've been to over a dozen highly rated Southern style BBQ restaurants all over southern USA and can say without a doubt in my mind that Comery Block tops each and every one of them.
The interior is super nice and the food is INCREDIBLE, not to mention a very extensive craft beer menu, I had the Carolina Lime beer and it was incredibly smooth and tasty.
Will be coming back here many times, highly recommended

It’s one of the best BBQ places in Calgary. With a very impressive list of bourbons and other whiskeys, temptations to visit during happy hour, half price late night meat, the most important part is the food is good. Hot chicken review: dark meat was appropriately breaded, crispy and not greasy. Corn bread: seems to be made in a muffin tray, on the less sweet side, nice touch with the jalapeño pepper.
