Stopped in at Congress Coffee Co. on a random Saturday morning for an Americano. Was in the general area waiting to do some business with an hour to kill beforehand. It was a bit of a drive off the beaten path to find the location and I found it interesting that they also had live music in the evenings. I liked the decor in this store and would definitely like to return at some point to sample some food items and perhaps experience some of the entertainment available. Although my one-time visit was brief with a simple coffee purchase, I liked the āvibeā here.

Terrible service owner had a problem with my talking on the phone even though Iām a paying customer. Terrible people I felt discriminated.. donāt come here take your money to a decent place. Like how is this a cafe and I canāt speak on the phone? Honestly do better!!!

I missed my Red Arrow bus and was told by the staff there was a coffee place nearby I could hang out while I waited for the next one. I just moved to Calgary and don't live in the area, so coming across this cafe was a fortunate coincidence. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Yulia, who is such a personality and has amazing positive, friendly energy. I ordered a sandwich and a cappuccino. The coffee was STRONG, and even though I forgot to add sugar, the taste was delicious and I didn't even bother to ask to add any. The sandwich was toasted perfectly and had fresh mozzarella which was my favourite part of the whole thing. Yulia never let me feel like I was unwelcome to stay for the long duration and even had a lengthy chat with me about some other places I'd be interested in visiting in the future. They gave me the cutest postal card with several options for me to check out and I highly appreciate the effort they put into accommodating me. Yulia gives this space the right vibes and I will definitely be coming back to check out their open mic!

I suspect this place is rated highly for the atmosphere and the events, not the coffee. Maybe I just got my coffee on an off day, but my latte was pretty weakāthere was less flavour than times Iāve had a single shotāand the milk was the right temperature but not microfoam.
Went for open mic night on Wednesday, hosted by Busker Bob. It was a fun evening in a nice little venue.

Congress is a great local coffee shop that has great coffee great food that's hand prepared and staff who care.
It's an awesome place for a coffee by myself or with others, and it also seems to be a good place for people to come work in solitude in a trendy atmosphere.
All the food I've had here has been great, the coffee's always great The service is always great and it's a great addition to the green view business community I'm grateful that it's there.
