Upon entering, the hostess cheerfully greeted us and gladly accepted my request for the area in which I hoped we could sit.
Even better, our waitress was super kind and even changed us to an adjacent table when she saw that the uneven legs had caused our first cups of coffee to tip enough to spill out onto the tabletop. I'm a real fan (connoisseur?) of hollandaise sauce and was considering getting something that had it, but wanted to be sure I enjoyed the taste of the hollandaise enough. She promptly went to the kitchen and brought me back a spoonful of the sauce to try! And oh.my.goodness...... it was delicious!! She said they make it from scratch, in-house.
I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere only because the set of tables we were seated at (before being moved to a stable table) were both badly uneven and the server even confided that she'd been hoping for a while that they'd be fixed or replaced for the customers' sake!
I would recommend this homey, brightly appointed restaurant to anyone wanting a delish brekky or brunch/lunch.

Coming as a server myself, I can say that we experienced horrible service. Came into a slow atmosphere but after waiting a while we rang in the kids food as she was hungry and assumed she was going to eat first. We later ordered our food & the next thing you know the kids food was still waiting but it came out at the same time as ours. She put the plates down & walked away, didn’t ask if we needed anything, and never checked on us at least once or even ask how our food was (my food was wrong) or to ask if we needed boxes, refills, the bill, etc. The most basic things servers should know in this industry. After waiting so long with half-empty plates with food we wanted to take home, we just left it & decided to get up to pay. When she brought the bill, one of us in our party needed to get her reading glasses to read the machine & in that process our server asked her to “just click the green button” on the 18 percent tip option. Obviously we were not going to say anything after it was pressed but we wanted to tip based on the reflection of the service we received. 👎 seriously disappointed.

Service is always good, staff are nice, they always ask if the meal tastes good. They also have amazing hollandaise sauce! My favourite dish is the Montreal Steak Benedict.

Went there on July 1st around 130pm. Was out for the day with out of town family. Only one other table with 2 people in there. Spent over $120 on breakfast and coffee for 4 people. Waitress never came over to offer more coffee, all the staff were at the kitchen area complaining about their jobs and that they didn't have to work there or on Canada day. The food was good but experience terrible and the waitress couldn't understand why I never left a tip. Not once did she ask how our food was, or offer more coffee. We had to ask twice for water and after paying she was pissed that I never left a tip. This is her tip my google review. She can make sure the staff know if they are upset happy discuss somewhere else not in front of the customers. Offer refills of coffee and maybe a monitors tip will be added.
