Cowtown Beef Shack

Well it’s been a couple months since trying cowtown, It used to be a go to place when I’m craving smoked meat and don’t feel like cooking. I should have reviewed it earlier and would have given it 5 stars. Today I find myself confused, I’m not sure if ownership has changed but I spent 30$ on a “large” bblt and regular Caesar salad. I used a food delivery app so it was more expensive than it should have been but I was ok with it and looking forward to the taste I know and love. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed. The “large” sandwhich was barely passable as medium. Little meat and toppings and it seems like the bread has changed, it’s very thin. The meat was fatty and hard to chew. They used to have thick bbq slathered bacon that was absolutely delicious. Now it seems like normal fatty, thin bacon. I miss their house made Caesar dressing, it definitely is not the same. I could be wrong but to me it tastes like generic store bought dressing.
So disappointed as I loved this place but if this is what they serve now, I won’t be back. I decided on 2 stars as the taste of the small sub was not terrible.
Very disappointed and wish I could get my $30 back.

First time here, seen them online but was never in the area. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I'll be back this week while I'm in the area. Highly recommended!

I just ordered a sandwich and a salad for $30. I’m pretty sure the my flashlight is bigger than a sandwich. A salad is enough for three or four bites for 10 bucks.

This place has the best beef dips in the city IMO. I have only tried beef dips here so can’t comment on anything else. I think it’s a bit expensive for what it is - it’s just a beef dip, but it’s also the best beef dip in the city so idk.

The new employee Mercedes gave me the best service iv experienced at cow town. food 10/10 would recommend, not a thing I would change about the place

I got a pulled pork sandwich and bacon mac and cheese from skip when I was sick in bed and it was the best thing ever. Seriously like the best mac and cheese I’ve gotten from a restaurant, SO GOOD!! The sandwich was really good too and different from other ones I’ve had, not just a boring classic pulled pork.

A tremendous establishment with an incredible menu and amazing energy.

Deano kindly looked after us and made myself and the guys three of the most incredible sandwiches that we've ever consumed.

10/10 would recommend to a friend.
