Cucina has been a favourite of mine for over a decade. The ambiance, the service, the menu - all delight the senses. Whether it is a quick lunch, a business dinner or a celebration - Cucina is perfect for any occasion. The staff is always gracious, and the kitchen is accommodating. My only wish is to have at least one vegetarian & gluten-free option on the menu (please consider that not all cheeses are vegetarian).
Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. This isn't our first visit, and we will be back. Happy hour pricing for the wine was definitely a draw.
The food was beyond amazing. The service was very slow and it was just us and one other table in the whole restaurant. Also the only other table that was there they sat right beside us which was frustrating for us and them.
Exceptional customer service beyond written…

Honestly… very subpar. The service sucked- felt like the server wasn’t interested in making recommendations, took over 20 mins after being seated before our orders were taken, another 30 mins after our entrees were served before we were “checked at”. Meal was 85% done at that point. The food was decent, there are better Italian places in Calgary at that price point tho. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t come back.

In the evening, it can be noisy here, but during lunchtime or the afternoon, it was quite pleasant. I visited for lunch. The flavors, or the combination of dishes, was unusual, but very tasty. The staff was very friendly. One downside was that a man was walking around for about five minutes with the trash, and it smelled quite strongly, which spoiled the overall experience of enjoying a midday meal. Personally, I have never encountered such a situation before, and I believe trash should definitely not be taken out in front of guests, even when the restaurant isn’t full.

Always great food and great service! Hadn't been there for breakfast before and it did not disappoint! Excellent value for a high quality meal.
Normally my breakfast go-to, lunch is also excellent! Although I'm not a daily coffee drinker, I always grab one while I'm here as the quality is so high.
I threw a private dinner and I can not tell you how incredible it turned out. The process was so great from the planning stage, they were so agreeable and kind to work with, so helpful, we found a menu that worked for all, and they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions of some of my guests. On the day of the event everything was far beyond expectations, the restaurant and decor were perfect, the service was above and beyond, everyone was friendly, helpful and they made sure to keep us on track as we had another event to get to. The placed looked beautiful, matched by the incredible food and drinks. The portions were generous and the food was sooo delicious. They made sure me and all my friends and family were well taken care of. I didn't even have to worry about a thing. They provided take out boxes for the guests, every detail was looked after and I didn't have to ask for a thing. All my friends were raving about the food, no matter what you picked it was amazing. My only complaint is I wish I could bring MORE people next time. I will definitely be back and highly highly highly recommend them. Thank you for making our event so special and spectacular!

Very great place to have business breakfast meetings and I personally think they have the best Benedict in town

Management had 1 server seating and serving the entire restaurant during lunch rush, so service wasn’t very fast and I ended up being late for work. Server was really sweet and did the best she could with what she had.
Management YOU need to do better. Overworking your staff for productivity’s sake is embarrassing. Do your job lol.

Everything is good about this bistro: the food, the service and the location.
Had a lovely time and enjoyed a succulent striploin with a glass of Pinot noir, fresh bruschetta and an olive oil cake with pineapple, caramel and crème chantilly along a well made cup of cappuccino!
Bonus: open for breakfast with a nice well priced menu!

The lunch seafood lunch special was exceptional, and the service was attentive and personal. Would definitely go back.
I was disappointed that they took the beef tartare off the menu. It's what I traveled to Calgary to enjoy.
We were excited for their recent event, A Night in the Great White North; but left disappointed. Though it had been sometime since we last dined at Cucina, we had always received an exceptional meal with lots of flavour. That was not the case this time around. The poutine was overcooked, dry on the outside, and hard to cut through. The lobster roll was bland. The lamb entree also overcooked and could have used a lot more salt/seasoning. The only bright light of the night was the ice cream served with the espresso Nanaimo bar. The bar itself was bitter and overpowering. Not what we expected from this establishment and for the price paid.
