I stopped by the Dairy Queen on 40th Avenue in Calgary and had such a great experience. I originally ordered a chocolate mint Blizzard, but the friendly staff suggested I try the Pumpkin Spice Blizzard—and wow, what a fantastic recommendation! The flavour was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced for fall. The touch of whipped cream on top made it extra special.
The customer service was excellent—warm, helpful, and welcoming. It’s not every day you find staff who genuinely care about making your visit better.
If you’re in Calgary and looking for the best Dairy Queen Blizzard experience, this location is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This DQ is right beside a high school so the vibe here is always a little bit funny however school hasn't started yet so the place was totally dead. The staff were really letting down their hair, listening to Shine FM (a contemporary Christian music station) at a generous volume. I know this because it took 3 Christian rock songs (12-13 minutes) plus a few ads to get our Blizzards ready and my kid asked why every song was about Jesus. As an Atheist, I am very proud that my kid has a low tolerance for that nonsense and I wonder why they chose this station to play.
Despite the place being empty, all of the tables on the east side of the shop were dirty (garbage on the table, crumbs, etc) and a few on the west side as well. I'm not sure why the Blizzards took so long. Mine was runny and grainy but the ones that the kids ordered seemed fine. I will say that mine was well mixed and had lots of goodies in it, as were the kids'. One of the staff had horrific BO and should not have been around food with that kind of hygiene. Our person was pleasant and apologized for the wait which was nice. I can only imagine that the Christian rock is being used as a strategy to get the high school kids to move along.
Looking forward to the canned response from DQ.

Two star review because 2/3 of us left happy but my father was unable to get the deal in his dairy Queen app and the store can't do anything to keep customers returning. Two of us got the deal because we had the app. My father got and left with nothing. There is a sign on the door that says they will work to keep a customer happy.

Went inside to get some food and the 2 chicken wrap I got were the size of a coke bottle TOP . keept biting to find the chicken and that was literally the size of a straw. I waited 17 min once I order to receive my order . Also the ice cream cone is super small and that's way below any other DQ standard cone I got in the past. NICE WORK
