Penalized for needing non-dairy Dilly Bars. I excitedly purchased 2 boxes of dilly bars with the bogo coupon I got in the mail. When I got home I realized we left with the dairy verson instead of the non-dairy dilly bars we needed. I called the store and explained that I needed the dairy-free version and would pay the difference. The manager insisted the coupon was only for original dilly bars and not the dairy-free versions. But the manager finally agreed to exchange the unopened box and I sent my husband to make the exchange. When he got there the manager didn't honor her word and my hubby paid for a new box so my kids could have a treat. I will never shop at that location again.

Wanted to order the Choco Brownie Extreme Blizzard today, but instead of the chocolate brownies asked to have peanuts subbed instead - SUBBED, not added. I order this all the time throughout Canada as I travel a lot for work - Halifax, Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Red Deer, The Pas, etc.. even the DQ up the road across from Southland Liesure Centre here in Calgary. Yet THIS location has the gaul to try and charge me a $1.09 'sub' fee.
Nope! Never. Despite living just around the corner, I will never purchase anything from this location. A $1.09 fee for a SUBSTITUITON!?! dream on. The sale was cancelled and I walked out. Good riddance!
@DQ customer relations: While I appreciate your quick response to my complaint, I had already reached out to your comment site from your webpage. Your response was simply that corporate allows each franchisee to set their pricing/policy within corporate guidelines. This means YOU allow price gouging like this to happen. Nothing has changed at this location since my first contact as evinced by this most recent encounter.
This location has permanently lost my business.

Our local store has gone to printed images, and premade royal icing decorations out of a box. So when we need an ice cream cake, this is the only store in Calgary we go to.

Visited June 6 around 1:30 pm. Store stank of raw sewage and was still open. Asking the only employee about the overwhelming stench and she said they were having construction in the back of store. The store should be shut down if there is raw sewage present! I left without ordering.

I usually love this location but the last icecream cake we got from here was disappointing. The vanilla to chocolate ratio was off.
Each time am taking a cake , non of thier staff is helping me putting stuff in my car, am holding cake in my both hands and it's very difficult to open the exit door and then again open my car door, they need to teach some basic manners to thier staff to help the customers to putt cakes and stuff in the

It is a standard Dairy Queen for the most part, but I find that since they changed their ice cream recipe around 10 years or so ago, it has never been the same. I still get the odd Blizzard. This location is also an Orange Julius, which is great. The location is dated and could use a renovation and service is average.
