I ordered on Uber and had to cancel within 30 seconds because I placed the order to a wrong address.
I cancelled it and Uber charged me the whole order amount $45 and told me they have to pay the restaurant as they prepared the order.

I called them, the person pointed the finger right back at Uber and told me they wont make the food or give store credit or refund anything and then they hung up on me.

So either Uber is lying or the restaurant is. In any case I'm out $45 and no one is giving me the food or my money back.

We came in today with my friend we ordered poutine and one of the platters was really good. We were served by khatoun she’s wonderful. Her service made our experience even better I really recommend this place

I would support them as they are a local business and halal. But they can do better. Food flavor was ok. Portion sizes were not. We spent a decent amount but walked out half full. Owners pls understand, it's ok to charge a premium for location, decor etc. but there needs to be a value exchange and balance. And frankly you are overpriced. You can also do better with reasonable dish sizes as your large serving plates are not really required given the portion sizes and take too much space on small tables, making it uncomfortable if you have more than 5-6 people. Staff seem very nice folks. With the exception of 1-2. Unfortunately the one who served us was from the latter group, so a mood spoiler! You should seriously consider adding some kind of plastic curtain on the front door, because everytime anyone would come in, cold air from outside would just chill everything and everyone inside. I hope you would consider some of this feedback and in shaa Allah it will go a long way in barakah.

I recently visited Damascus Shawarma restaurant and was fortunate to be served by Khitam. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our dining experience wonderful.
