Did this in Calgary - experience was cool and service was very good. However it was very obvious that the food was microwaved since there were hot and cold parts of the same thing. Additionally the tables for 2 people felt very small and cramped - which is not a good combination for eating in the dark AND having a visually impaired server. A lot of unnecessary spillage could have been avoided, which would have been better for us and the server.Certainly a cool experience, but for the expensive price it feels like they are trying to hide obvious cost cutting with the fact that you can’t see. It’s definitely not worth paying full price, try to find a group-on for it.

One of the most unique dining experiences I've ever had! Fun, interesting, educational! People who don't enjoy surprises might not like it but if you're a little adventuresome, Dark Table is a must!

This was a completely new experience. Getting to the table felt a little scary as it was completely dark, but our server was so patient and kind and made sure we reached our table without any problems. The food was scrumptious. I recommend going for the surprise drink and the 3 course meal. The portions were spot on and perfect. Overall, it was an exciting meal and would love to go to the place again!

Such a cool experience! We all ordered the 3-course suprise meal and enjoyed it all. The Shot in the Dark wine was really good too. Our server Diane was lovely and funny any really topped off the experience.I'll for sure be recommending this place to others and will likely return!!

Well after reading older reviews on reddit, we assumed it was going to be an experience with sub par food. This however was not at all what my family and I experienced. It was a great night food was amazing and drinks were on par as well. Our server was really friendly and showed concern when my 7year old (who is diagnosed ASD) said he was scared but he was just over stimulated and calmed down when food came. The food now I guess they have changed management recently so any older reviews you will need to disregard as we tried the fish meal (seabass) and the steak meal (with blue cheese) and I got the surprise meal and honestly.mine was probably the best. Get the surprise munchies for the table they were really good too.The only thing I will say is go with people you trust as at one more my daughter was trying to find something on the table and instead she found my wife's plate and her hands went into it. We all had a great laugh but would have been a little weird if it was a friend instead of daughter. Also they ask you to leave watches, cellphone, bags, hats, glasses in the provided locker for two reason 1 no light emitting devices allowed and for 2 if you drop something you probably won't find it.This is a must try.Kid-friendliness: Went with out 2 kids 10/7 but diagnosed with asd and they had a blast

This was a phenomenal experience and everything about it was great. All of the staff were super friendly and walked us through how it would work. And all of the foods were really tasty and well cooked. I would recommend choosing the surprise option because it makes the experience that much cooler! Overall 10/10 I would highly recommend.

Was fantastic, despite the reviews food was great, service was fantastic. Worth every penny!! Was very strange eating in total darkness. But amplified the taste and smells of the food.Only issue I had was that the surprise appy was sold out. They just need more product. Other than that it’s fantastic

for the Calgary restaurant the only reason I am giving this a low star review is because of the food. The experience and our server Tanya is amazing so friendly and was so helpful in easing our anxiety. The food was absolutely disgusting, I could not eat my chicken and appetizers Not sure if it was the texture or the taste. I feel for the amount of money you pay for person the food has to taste at least somewhat decent.

We had an such a great experience here. When we went in, we received a warm welcome and instructions about how the meal would work. The bar tender was very attentive and made sure we enjoyed our experience checking in before and after the meal. Our server was amazing and made us feel comfortable dinning in the dark. We enjoyed the food, the surprise entree was the highlight. This is an absolute must try.

This was not our first time dining in the dark. All of us except my husband had been before. Unfortunately we were seated right beside the ‘exit’ sign so the absolute darkness was disturbed by this and took something away from the experience. Our waitress Diane was very good and helped make the evening very pleasant. But the food on this night was not great! Two ordered steaks which were both really overdone! The risotto was awful…. like glue! My daughter had been to this restaurant before, she had had the risotto and said it was great so not sure what happened this time? We were still glad we did this, for the unique experience but food tonight was definitely sub-par!

Fun and educational experience. Food was surprisingly tasty too with good portions for the 3 course meal.

Had soooo much fun! My friends and I went a while ago, but we honestly still talk about this because it was so great. They are amazing at accommodating for allergies and other things too! My friend has diabetes, and they were great with letting her take her phone into the restaurant, and help her out with everything. Allergies were super well dealt with too. Was literally so fun though, and the food was great. A little bit on the pricey side, but still worth it! 5/5

I did this once in Vancouver's and the experience was just as epic! Our server Megan had a great personality and calmed our nerves about the dark experience. We probably wouldn't have left of we weren't so full. The food was worth every penny! Large portions, fresh and great tasting.Plus it helps support those that a vision impaired/blind ?.Make sure you try the wine 'shot in the dark'

We visited this evening and had a fabulous time. The Host was super welcoming. Our server was lovely, and we got to chat with her a bit. We went with the surprise menu option were really pleased with everything we had. The chicken was super flavourful with a great sauce, veggies, a salad and herbed rice. Dessert was a very good toffee cake. We really enjoyed the experience. The people are so nice, the food was great, it wasn’t any louder than a Denny's. Highly recommend!
