DC Pizza & Rolled Ice Cream

I visited this ice cream shop today with my kids, and while we were excited for a treat, I had some concerns about hygiene. After we placed our order, the staff member took a bit longer than expected to return—around eight minutes—and then spent additional time chatting with another customer before beginning to make our ice cream.

While I appreciate the friendly service, I noticed that the staff member was using her phone while wearing gloves. This raised some concerns for me regarding food safety, as phones can harbor germs. My son noticed this too and decided not to eat his ice cream as a result.

At home, we always make sure to avoid touching our phones while handling food, so I hope the shop can emphasize hygiene practices moving forward. Overall, I believe that maintaining high hygiene standards is essential in food service, and I hope my feedback helps enhance the experience for future customers.

DC Pizza in Calgary offers a decent, no-frills slice when you're in the mood for something quick and casual. We tried the veggie pizza (without pineapple), and while it wasn't a standout, it was satisfying enough for a simple meal.

The crust had a nice chew, and the vegetables were fresh, though the overall flavor could’ve used a bit more seasoning or sauce to really pop. It’s a solid option if you're nearby and craving something familiar and filling, but not necessarily worth going out of your way for.

Service was friendly, and the place had a relaxed, grab-and-go vibe. If you’re looking for a straightforward, veggie-loaded slice in Calgary, DC Pizza gets the job done.

Have become a regular here since they opened like a month ago. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality! Pizza is cheesy and loaded well with toppings. We also had their rolled ice-cream the one day too. The kids loved watching them make them with care. They turned out beautiful and delicious. Staff here are wonderful- very easy to talk too and kind!

After seeing someone rave on Facebook celiac group about this place, we thought we would try it. Holy smokes, this is hands down the BEST gluten free pizza I have ever had. My husband, who does not need to eat gluten free, also had a slice and his review? “This is gluten free?” It was sooo good. Just to make sure it was in fact gluten free, I waited a few days to post my review in case my digestive system found issues, but no. BEST GF PIZZA!

We visited DC Pizza in Nolan Hill last week and tried their gluten-free pizza, which was also nut free as some GF flour has almond flour in it. Then the following week we ordered 4 more for a birthday party and I am happy to report that there were no reaction after consuming the pizza, which means that this place is safe for those with celiac disease. The pizza was not only safe but also incredibly tasty, with a perfect crust and flavorful toppings. It was a relief to find a place where we can indulge in pizza without any concerns about gluten contamination. Thank you so much DC Pizza! 🙏

Best GF crust we’ve found in NW Calgary. Way better than the 10” cardboard at most other places. Nice and crispy on the bottom - kind of reminds me of Pizza Hut. Friendly staff who take pride in their work.
