Two Kiwis out and about walking in Calgary and just happened to wander past Deville Coffee in Kensington. So glad it time for a coffee! Lovely staff and possibly the best flat white I'd had in Canada (lots of Canadian coffee menus don't offer a flat white). Also had an apple fritter which was absolutely delicious.

I love Deville coffee!! This location is very stunning and special. The coffee is always wonderful, and they have many plugs and desks. Unfortunately there is usually a pungent odour in the shop, not sure if it’s from a nearby sewer or the bathroom, but otherwise I love the coffee here!

Besides the nice vibe and super friendly staff, I was also allowed to buy the small mug that was actually on display. I’m from the Netherlands and really wanted to buy it, but no new small mugs arrived in time. So sweet that they solved it this way!

Deville Coffee in Kensington? Seriously good stuff for a first visit! The second I walked in, it just had this great vibe – super cozy and smelled absolutely amazing. I tried the hot chocolate, a cappuccino, a grilled cheese, and some banana bread, and honestly, everything was spot on!
The hot chocolate was rich, the cappuccino was perfectly made, and that grilled cheese? Pure comfort. And the banana bread was the perfect sweet finish. This place is definitely a keeper for kicking off the day, meeting up with buddies, or just chilling out for a bit.
If you are looking for a nice little coffee shop then this is your sign to stop here! Nice atmosphere and good coffee. I had the Iced Americano with cream & sugar and a chocolate chip cookie… it hit the spot!
