The waitress was informative and very attentive. Food was delicious! The gnocchi was so soft and light. I loved how the sage was crispy and added texture to the dish. The bread was fresh and not dense at all! Warm ambiance. I would definitely come back.

Have been here a couple of times and had great experiences. The last time however, the service was terrible. We sat ‘outside’ which was fine but it was very cold. They offered us blankets then didn’t bring them. We were barely able to order two drinks in 2 hours because our server didn’t come back to the table. No one once asked us how our food was, and it really wasn’t very good this time around. We had drinks made incorrectly and had to go to the bar to ask for a new one, because no one came to the table. I also let the manager (or who I thought was the manager) know about our experience on the way out, told her we weren’t looking for compensation, just wanted to share our experience.. she took my name and never even followed up. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

This place is like walking into an old nonna’s house. The decor is authentic. The food is just impeccable. The new fall/winter menu is off the charts good. Highly recommend the squash and prosciutto dish. The service is second to none. Joe our server walked us through the menu and was efficient and kind. Despite having a child with us they made us feel welcome and comfortable. Could not ask for a better experience. If I was bringing someone out of town and wanted to showcase the best of Calgary food and service, this place is it.

The food was amazing, seasonal menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. I found the wine menu limited. The mood was dark, (too dark that you can barely read the menu). It was quite busy. We were one of the last seatings, so did not feel rushed to get out.

DOPO needs to be on your devour list. This restaurant is accessed using stairs going down into what feels like a cellar atmosphere. It is smaller with around 10 tables and a cozy bar to sit at. It is lit with dim lights, giving it an intimate vibe. Their plates are all family style having small and large plates. My favorite dish of the night was the raviolo. Joe, our waiter was attentative and knew the menu well. Our glasses of water were always topped off without asking. Don't leave without a piece of Tiramisu! A great experience all around.

Sadly I didn’t enjoy my last two experiences at dopo. Ever since this new location opened I found the service impersonal and rushed. The food is always great but you have to order everything at once and can’t take your time. They take the two hour timeframe seriously (which I understand) but to the point where you feel rushed and awkward being there. It does feel like they just want as many reservations as possible and don’t care for the people in front of them. It was also my birthday and I don’t expect anything free but a “happy birthday” or a candle goes a long way but no one mentioned anything. I think in the future I’ll just go to pizza face for my tiramisu and call it a day.

My wife and I just went for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere and service is secondary to us as we went for try food. We had, the smoked olives, whipped ricotta, bread, grilled green tomato, polpetti and ravioli. Some of the dishes we fine, but underwhelming, but the bread was good. The whipped ricotta and the raviolo were so salty. The raviolo so much so that we couldnt even finish 1/3 of it. Overall it was really disappointing and I want to think that it was just maybe mistakes and not how the food was meant to be served. We will still try it again.
