Won ton soup was salty but overall the food was very good. Ordered the dinner for 2 and had more than enough food for 4. Service was excellent.

My favourite Chinese restaurant in town! We have been regulars for years. We usually get takeout, and the food is amazing. The handful of times that we have eaten in just makes the food better! Especially the chef's specials! The whole family is so welcoming, the service always friendly

Ordinarily, Dragon Gate in Marda Loop is my go to for Chinese cuisine. The food has always been great. For 20 years it’s been a solid choice.
Last night however was total chaos. I pre ordered dinner for 6 a few days in advance in anticipation that it would be busy on Xmas Eve.
It was supposed to be ready at 6pm. I finally left with my order at 7:40.
When I arrived at 6pm, there was already a queue of folks waiting for their take away. Not to mention a throng of Skip dudes and Dashers.
Additionally, they were seating the dining room, which along with the diners was quite full of disgruntled customers.
Instead of suspending Skip or Door Dash, those orders kept coming in, pushing things further and further back. A charming little boy was taking orders over the phone, taking orders in the dining room and doing his little kid very best. (It was quite sweet)
The poor teenager handling phones and trying to expedite orders was handed the unenviable task of trying to wrangle and assuage disgruntled customers, cancellations and walkouts. She did so with humility. I felt pity for her. I know it wasn’t her fault.
Happily, after 90 mins of waiting, I was handed my order. Happier still, it was entirely correct. So kudos there.
However, after this experience, I’ll probably avoid Dragon Gate for a while, and I’ll definitely make alternate plans next year.

We had take out. The bad reviews, well they were all right. I've had better. Just didn't taste that good. Or perhaps my taste for Chinese food has run its course. This is the second place that didn't meet my expectations.

Told 45minutes for pickup. Got there in 45 minutes. Waited for another hour still no food. Then got told they gave it away to somebody else. Absolutely no resolution offered. I understand it gets busy on Christmas but this was completely unacceptable. Been my go to Chinese food for a decade, even spoke accolades about this place. Will never ever come back and will tell all my friends and family I’ve been selling this restaurant to do the same.

TODAY I Oder some food for pickup ,food wasn't good salt and pepper fish wasn't fresh so hard like a cracker. Plus I mentioned them no bamboo sticks in soup but when I opened in home and bamboo sticks there in the soups. Not fresh food .I definitely not recommend this restaurant.i lived so far but we had an appointment there and I thought let's buy from here but it was worst experience. Plz,I just waisted my money. I mad a video and pic of fish.and other food as well. 100% not recommended them.

We ordered on Uber, and the ginger beef was so dry and hard it was actually inedible.
I was charged $3.54 more for asking not to put shrimp in the chicken fried rice. They did not inform me of the extra charge till they put the payment through. Doesn’t make sense. Then when it came there was shrimp in the rice.

Ordered dinner for one, ginger beef and sour pork, they put just a little bit of the sauce on the sour pork the meat is so hard to eat, dry and everything is actually disgusting. I do not recommend this place. Go spend your money somewhere else.

Would give negitive stars if i could. Ordered thru uber eats. Had edits on the order, they called me to specify allergies and such, after which they failed to mention they didnt have what i wanted. Order was still put thru and i was still on the hook for 25$ worth of food i did not get.
