I’ve supported both Inkjet Island and Dragon Lair Burger since 2010, but after recent experiences, I will no longer be returning. My sons and I have been treated disrespectfully on multiple occasions, and I believe it stems from racial bias.
The first incident occurred when my eldest son and his friend went in, ordered food and drinks, and were told off for simply getting a refill. The second happened today when my son politely asked for ranch and was yelled at by a staff member named Diane or Sue.
I’ve also had uncomfortable interactions with the owner, Harvey, who made inappropriate comments about my background and ethnicity that left me feeling disrespected.
As a long-time customer and community member, I find this behavior unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and treats all customers — especially young Black customers — with equal respect.

Went here for the first time many years ago, and decided that it was time to go back and check if it was as good as I remembered.

Burgers are great, made fresh and priced reasonably. Poutine was decent, but their gravy leaves a little to be desired. Service was quick and friendly. There's no doubt why these folks were winning burger awards when that was still a thing in Calgary.

Stopped here to grab a drink and then decided to get an order of onion rings for $5.25...surprise.... I got 5 little onion rings! I don't recommend you buy these, they do however have an upsize for more $. Slow service, atmosphere.....well it is in a mall food court...

Burgers are good here as they are not the typical fast food ones. The patties are tender and juicy beef paired with grilled mushroom and sauce of your choice plus fries, a good filling meal.
Wish they had grilled the bread a little as it was cold when you bite into them only the patty was hot inside the bun and it feels kinda funky when you chew it the hot and cold mixing together in your mouth. With the drinks, they offer a fountain drink but they humbly request you can only refill once which is fair enough as you will get full with the big burger anyways.
Resto is kinda old as with the mall itself but probably could improve if maintained. Employees are busy with their work plus juggling the online order as well and serving the customers waiting in line, keep up the good work guys.
Hope they could improve their service as they have good and filling food to offer in the area.

I literally just left this place and i'm so disgusted. There were I guess 2 new employees and one manager with blonde hair smaller guy.There was a bug crawling where all the food was for the toppingd and while they were cooking the food.I said you might want to kill that bug and he smashed it with his bare hands wiped it off and continued to keep cooking. He had no gloves on yet.His employees did .GROSS! food went right in the garbage would not recommend. HEALTH BOARDS GOING TO BE CALLED. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Purposefully designed Burgers for the decerning pallet hand crafted at very fair pricing. Thick cut fries lightly salted are filling. The 1/2:pound Italian Stallion was a complete meal. Awesome.

Best burgers I've had in Calgary, and half the price of a lot of the competition. My current favorite is the breakfast sandwich. The fries are great, too. If you come here expecting a delicious, affordable burger, you won't be disappointed.

Don’t let the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere fool you. They have a great burger for a great price. Period. Quality beef, well executed recipes and friendly staff all make this restaurant a must-try.
