We have been customers for many years at the establishment. In the past we would order food at the counter, pay the sit in the dining to enjoy our meal. On a recent visit we did the same only food was served in take out containers. Odd we thought but we took a table in the dining room.As we we enjoying our afternoon refreshments the waiter came to our table and shouted that take out containers are not allowed in the dining room. Our fellow diners were all staring at us while the waiter continued to berate us. This was a humiliating and shaming experience especially in light of the fact that we were not informed as to 'the new rules'.

My husband is orginally from Sweden, with roots in Finland. Lots of selection and it changes from time to time. They carry goodies from all over the continent. Hubby's favorite section is the mustard and mine is the chocolate.

What a great little place to dine and shop ! The food is delicious, I love the selection of treasures and very unique items to purchase. I am looking forward to my next visit, it’s truly a little slice of heaven ❤️ I could spend all day here, the prices are also reasonable and worth every penny

Order 3 meals they asked for a time. I showed up 50 min early was told to wait cam back at the exact time to pick up the food took it in an insulated bag on a 15 min ride it was ice cold the chicken and potatoes like it was sitting there the whole time not a good meal

Going here is like being in Germany and brings all the nostalgic memories of growing up as a child of German immigrants here. The food, the staff, and the 1001 items they sell of such great variety. I often stop by, just to have that "feel good" feeling in my day - the coffee is amazing. Not sure how they get it to taste so good! And this shop is always very busy. The staff always seem to be on the run !The store is stuffed full of a wide variety of shop items and food items from Europe. I could spend a day here and never see it all.

This is a very Idyllic store. Vast variety of authentic European items from food to home décor. It has helped me over the years on purchases as they usually have the item on displayed that I am interested in ordering. Pricing is comparable as you have to remember to include duty and shipping for online ordering from different sites in Europe. With this service and assortment I am always happy to spend the time and money here, bringing home new collectables and traditional teats to my Family.

Wonderful store , just like being in Europe. So many interesting things and not just food. Had a coffee and almond croissant. If there are better croissants then those here I have yet to find them. Huge fresh and such a filling. Coffee great as well. Service was very friendly and thoroughly recommend a visit.

Excellent sweet treats, they sell a mustard in a tube I really like along with plenty of other European goods, one I really like is Tabac Shaving Soap. if you like to shave with a brush, I highly recommend it, along with Speick brand they also sell. Love this place. 4.5/5 a bit expensive.

Stopped by this morning to buy some bread and pretzels for lunch. Bought two “Village Pretzel Sticks” and as soon as I tore the end off of one I pulled a short grey hair out of it. Appetite spoiled obviously.

Such a beautiful place to have a little of Germany and area in Calgary. The staff are always friendly and you can find all sorts of cute things inside. I went to Austria and fell in love with a soda they have there. Every now and then they have Almdudler to buy and it makes me happy when they do.Worth checking out.

Today we visited Edelweiss, travelling from Red Deer to enjoy some lunch and shopping, however our experience was marred by the fact that the restaurant was closed despite a relaxation of the Covid restrictions and the take out cabbage Roll was very densely packed and although it was reheated by the staff member in the microwave it was cold inside and not cut up finely enough, we also had to consume our lunch in the vehicle as there was only one picnic table outside, surely this company has had enough time since the pandemic began to consider accommodating guests for outside lunches.Very disappointing.Liz Bloos

Cluttered nic nac store with very high prices. Lunch shop contains all things pig related, even the saurkraut contains pork i was told. Nice but expensive deserts. Typical tourist trap in oddly placed location.
